    I have another question.
I bought the James Bond Calendar 2019 (Bond in Motion). April shows pictures from OHMSS. One photograph is black and white and shows a car driving in a bobsleigh run. I've never seen this pic before (I even checked, if it is in Helfensteins OHMSS book, but it isn't) and I've never read that they were putting a car in bob run (and why?). Does someone know something about the background story?

That's it. So it seems, that they took a completely wrong and non-bond picture for the calendar. That's a bit annoying.
Thanks a lot for your answer @ggl007

Is this actually in the casino royale novel saw this on a Facebook comment? - "Bond is single - except when he gets married. Bond is not a woman -except Fleming genders him as female through a misplaced comma in Casino Royale ("As a woman, Bond wanted to sleep with her ..."); Bond is not black - but he has "the mixed blood of America" in his features; Bond is not retired - the end of NSNA suggests that he has retired; Bond is not a three-year old schoolboy or a teenager - he was once; Bond is not a duck - but he once wore a seagull on his head; and Bond is not an alien - though he "always knew there was something alien and unEnglish about himself". In other news - Bond isn't a real person."

One of Fleming's most notorious howlers. The proofreaders at Cape were asleep on the job. So yes, that silly line really is in Casino Royale. A rare example of bad writing from Fleming.

John Barry said in a 1979 interview that an African country had wanted his "Born Free" as their national anthem. Does anyone know what country, and the full story?

Born Free came out in 1966, and several countries were decolonized in the 60s and 70s. In Zimbabwe, and probably other countries as well, a "born free" is a term used on those born after independence was established.

Could someone please help locate the recent article or video where it's mentioned that Ana De Armas' character was written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. I could have sworn watching an interview of Armas at Goldeneye alluding to it, but I just can't seem to find the statement anywhere. I just remember someone discussing the fact that Armas was brought on rather recently due to PWB's writing.

    Thnx.

Fascinating. Do you have a source for this?

The Big Book about James Bond by Sagen and Steingrimsen. They have an extensive list of sources, but don t know where they had that from.

@Revelator actually I found out from @peter and @PropertyOfALady that it makes sense in the context and it's not an error the Facebook commenter took the line and made his own spin on it and with everything else he said.

Thank you. Shame that the exact source isn't clear. I'm going to try and look into this.

How did Bond not die here before no blood and you can see bullet holes in the other side.
All prepared in advance : fake blood, fake bullet holes (either done with small explosives like they do it in the movies, or the bed was bulletproof).
