Apparently, when doing interviews for 'Bad Teacher,' Lennon got on the conversation of Christopher Nolan and joked that the video was going to be his audition tape for TDKR - who knew it would lead to this!

The thing is and I'm sure those who think Nolan is overrated (a number on this forum) will no doubt be ready to stick the boot in as they'll find all this fawning over the film irritating and that is fine but please tell what other director has bought so much freshness and intelligence into the blockbuster arena more than Nolan? you might not like him but he's changed things and we don't just have to expect brainless eye candy when it comes to the summer season any more.
I've a feeling Skyfall is going to have to go some to be better than this.
We love comparing movies. And there is no love for anybody who disagrees.
Indeed, very intense, and isn't really that much of traditional Zimmer track, which is great. If someone played this for me without the background voices I probably wouldn't think it was Zimmer. Though it still retains that Batman sound he has so wonderfully created and the escalating sounds teamed with the chants make me feel like I am in an arena, surrounded, by a crowd and fighting for my life.
Seemingly a lot of material of the OST was lifted from TDK, not that I'm complaining. I like Rise because of the female singer, Mind if I drop in because it's so different.
Anyhow I can understand if people are annoyed by the hype surrounding TDKR. I myself am very much looking forward to seeing it, but recently I feel overfed with teasers, trailers, clips, and fotos. It´s all my fault really, I could just avoid those things, but that´s damn hard, and this pr campaign is just everywhere.
