On the way to Vegas, I'll try to hit some DAF sites.

    Have a great trip!

Your thoughts on how things have changed since the DAF novel would be most welcome - especially the hotel casino scenes!

That's one way of putting it. The truth would be that the mods felt very generous, yesterday.

Not on this forum but hey, whatever makes you happy.

    Indeed, so do we. :-)

Mods are long gone, they only did their thing in Britain in the 60s.

Welcome back, @Scaramanga12. I too have been given a second chance both here (although I was never banned from here) and on another forum (where I was banned) so I know how fortunate you must feel. My advice: learn from past mistakes, don't make up quotes and finally don't screw it up! If you follow those rules you should be OK. The mods here are not barbarians, after all. :)

@Scaramanga12, @Dragonpol's advice is good. Bad experiences on a forum are something to be learned from. In my younger days, I was forced out of an automotive forum, not by being banned, but by democracy. I actually put it to a vote on the site if I should "leave and never come back" (the site allowed you to make polls to put in your threads). I received my answer quickly. The experience taught me the value of restraint and good judgment in my postings. Best of luck this time around.

@BMW_with_missiles, things get that heated on auto forums, do they? Did wars flame up over matte finishes or chrome? Muscle cars vs. sports cars? Shiny or dull rims?

If anything, I hope you got the axe on that forum by being prepared to go to your death on the stance that the Aston Martin DB5 is the greatest car of all time. ;)

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 =)) Well, it was a Lotus forum to be specific, but there were quite a few fans of the DB5 on there (myself included). A decent Bond fan base too.
