The MI6 Community by Favourite Bond Film

edited May 9 in Bond Movies Posts: 2,337
Very simple. Leave a comment below with your #1 Bond film. Everyone who participates will be tallied here. I want as many MI6 members to take part as possible; I'm curious how wide the margins will be for the most popular films. Will there be any surprise contenders? When all is said and done, will all 25* films be represented? Is every Bond film someone's favourite, or will there be loveless children?

* - EON films only. If there's any member here who sincerely considers NSNA or CR67 better than the entire official series...why? How? :))

My favourite Bond film is the latest entry, so I will reflect that here. Also, if there are any inactive/former/passed members whose favourite Bond film is a CERTAINTY (as in, consistent comments to that end; going solely by what is listed in a user profile is not sufficient), I'm open to including them as well.

I take it you'll be editing the original post and just want us to share ours? If so, mine is Goldeneye. If not, let me know and I'll edit and update the list in my comment here accordingly.

Yes, for the sake of simplicity and ease of scrolling through, I'll just edit the main post, no need to copy and paste the whole list.

Excellent. It'll certainly keep things simple and error-free with one person tallying the votes.

Also, I know my activity here is spotty sometimes, if an admin/mod happens to notice that there's been a massive outpouring of responses and I haven't edited in a few days, I take no offense to someone editing it on my behalf.

You've got it, I'll gladly update it for you when that ends up happening (I'll be sure to leave an obvious comment or something after the last post I update to avoid confusion for when you do return to the thread).

This is tough, but for the record: OHMSS.

This should be an interesting follow-up to this December, 2021 thread
    https://www.mi6community.com/discussion/20681/crunch-time-your-5-favourite-bond-movies-no-6th-no-alternates-no-doubles-no-bs-just-five/p1

For that one, we had about 50 participants and the final “mentions” ranking was (according to my posted count anyway):
    1. OHMSS 32
    2. CR 31
    3. FRWL 30
    4. DN 19
    5. TLD 19
    6. GE 14
    7. GF 13
    8. SF 13
    9. NTTD 13
    10. LTK 11

FYI: TMWTGG and DAD received zero mentions and AVTAK only one.

It is certainly difficult considering the competition, but I shall go with my gut and say FRWL as #1 fave. No explanation needed.

This is tough, but I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for No Time To Die so I gotta go with that one.

I took the liberty of adding mine behind CR. It was a tough choice. CR, OHMSS and GE all compete, constantly, even when I'm doing the dishes, for that number one place.

    That's my favorite too.

Okay, not really, more like second favorite. The closest I have to a favorite is Octopussy. I look forward to joining your list.

Good! Would be nice to see every film get picked by someone.

Thanks mate, it's either DN or FRWL. Nothing to separate them really. But I love the colour and beauty of DN.

Same here. For the first installment in such a mega series, DN has no right being as fantastic as it is, but it blows me away every time. I think it's one of the most perfectly paced filmed in the series too.
