    I've been beaten to the draw with this one. Apparently, now even the truth is unacceptable?!

    Had it not been for all the pussyfooting about in the majority of cases, where agencies (including the police) shied away from taking direct action against the perpetrators for fear of being branded racist, then a lot of children would have been removed from the abuse and indeed never exposed to it in the first place. That approach was an absolute disgrace. The continued reluctance to approach what I'm sure will be an ongoing problem of child abuse is just as disgraceful.

    Even when they've been sent down and half of them are doing a 20 stretch and upwards, half the council has been forced to resign and there's been a government enquiry still we are too scared to admit the truth.

    One thing that becomes very clear to see after a while is that humans can justify anything to themselves under the right circumstances and if they're blocked into a corner. Frightening how truth is no more relevant or pressing than the lie that distorts it.
