that is really nice, you got some great boxsets Major.

Thanks. I'm trying to broaden my tastes a bit, and Ginger Rogers is looking lonely as my only favourite golden age actress.

It's a 10/10 movie for me, can't get any better than a 70+ years old Michael Caine killing some young punks (like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino). ;)

  • Excellent buys, QsAssistant! Still trying to warm myself to The Fifth Element—one of those films I know I should like more than I do—but Big Trouble in Little China and GitS are two of my faves!

    SUICIDE SQUAD + ZOOTOPIA

Two of my favourites from last year. The only things that let SS down are The Joker, Rick Flag and the overblown demon towards the end. Zootopia is great all around.

I saw 'Zootopia' a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I don't watch too many animated films, but every time I seem to give them a chance, I enjoy myself. I loved 'The Jungle Book' as well, though that was CGI.

As for 'Suicide Squad,' I didn't like it, but I was surprised to have enjoyed it more than 'BvS.' Agreed that the Joker was terrible in it, I knew I wouldn't like Leto's take on the character as soon as I saw that first image of him.

Lifeforce - Arrow Video blu-ray. Tobe Hooper's bonkers sci-fi horror.
Raising Cain - Arrow Video blu-ray. This has a 'director's cut' assembly on the third disc. Should be interesting. Mostly forgotten De Palma thriller.

@chrisisall it is a very, very cheap looking film, but Jason Statham has a lot of brutal kills in it.

@SaintMark, I caught 'Don't Look Now' for the first time less than two years ago, what a creepy film it is. That ending gives me chills.

Some god instincts expressed above for THE HUSTLER and THE WILD BUNCH. BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA is a favorite.

My last: MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Black & Chrome edition. I like a sure thing.

@RichardTheBruce, I've been dying to pick up the Chrome Edition, I just don't want to have to shell out for the base film itself again.

I'd say don't limit yourself. It's US 15.67 on Amazon. Too cheap not to buy, really.

I'm a cheap ass, which doesn't help. I suppose $15 isn't too bad for it, I have been itching to see the entirety of the film in black and white ever since Miller mentioned this was his favorite version.

I bought 'Invisible Target' yesterday, after someone suggested it to me and seeing the trailer:
