The Life of Brian : My Monty Python collection is soon to be complete

Carrousel live at the Lincoln Center : I'm a sucker for a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. And that one is a classic.

Judy Collins : A Love Letter to Stephen Sondheim : This Judy Collins fan couldn't miss this one.

Tenebre dir. by Dario Argento - Arrow Video release. Not seen this before so really looking forward to this arriving. Also have pre-ordered Arrow's upcoming Limited Edition of Argento's Phenomena starring a young Jennifer Connelly.

The Tenebre BD from Arrow is stunning. Like watching the film for the first time! Some good extras too which I haven't watched all yet.

Thankfully you can turn the case sleeve inside out for the original film poster artwork. I hate the Arrow covers so I'm glad they offer this extra!

I have to say I quite like Arrow's artwork, but I do like having the option. Can't wait to view Tenebre.

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to film poster artwork!

Argento's film posters were always so cool. Love the Inferno poster!

Visited my local thrift shops this past week and managed to get several DVD movies for about $3/each:

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2-disc special edition)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2-disc special edition)
    Mission Impossible 1 and 2

I also got a couple of Bond movies on VHS (for 0.99 cents) as well as NSNA ($2) on video disc, a format I've never even heard of. Does anyone own any video discs?

I am guessing the Video Disk is the same as Lazer Disk format, that's a cool find BTW.

Thanks. I thought it was a laser disc at first, but it looks almost like a vinyl/LP record.

It was a competitor to Lazer Disk similar to Beta Max vs VHS I think, I never got a Lazer Disk player though a friend had one.

Good choice, on both the film, and label.

Can you recommend any other Mario Bava films. Have got (or am getting) just about all the Dario Argento's that I want.

If it turns out that you liked Baron Blood , then you might like Lisa And The Devil. If you buy the 3 disc Arrow video release, you get the film on BR, DVD, and the alternate studio cut (House Of Exorcism) on DVD).
The only other Mario Bava film that ive seen, is A Bay Of Blood, which stars Domino Dervall herself, Claudine Auger. That also can be bought on the Arrow video label.

What you have there is the RCA Selectavision video disk format.

The plastic sleeve is inserted into the machine, then retracted leaving the disk inside. Big, bulky, decent concept, but the disk play was subject to minor skips from day one. I can almost remember the skip locations for FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE and LIVE AND LET DIE.

Thank you for the info. I never really knew of this format. It would probably be difficult to find a player to play it.

Of course, I bought Fantastic Beasts. However, something strange happened : I was not able to find a Blu-Ray only edition. It was either DVD only, or Blu-Ray + DVD, or Blu-Ray 3-D + Blu-Ray. Weird, isn't it ? I bought the Blu-Ray + DVD edition.

Thank you. It's not a bad price either. I thought these would be rather expensive. I may think of getting it if I get more video discs.
