    This is another Bond film I saw multiple times in the cinema. My only pet peeve being the gunbarrel.
    Bond takes one look at this dumpy dive and leaves. 007 goes first class.
    One of the quicker Bond seduction scenes. Bond answers the door without his shirt. I think Sir Roger should have done that in LALD when M arrives unannounced. That would have been funny!

    Camille effs up Greene's sh*t in front of everybody, humiliating him before Bond arrives.
    Craig is such a great Bond.

    The bit where Bond subdues the motorcycle police who pull him over does seem a bit BOURNE to me. The Mathis death scene is reasonably moving. Pity about him being dumped in the trash. It's not like Bond and Camille had shovels handy.

    The plane sequence reminds of Little Nellie, though lacking the Bond theme.
    The CGI parachute bit is a little unfortunate but doesn't ruin the sequence for me. Still great fun.

    I always find it amusing how Gregg Beam and Felix' check out air hostess Anna on the Ocean Sky jet. She bends over right in front of Beam, ass pretty much in face, and immediately, the eyes lock on. Felix barely waits for her to turn to walk off first. In retrospect, you can see Felix is waiting nonchalantly for that perfect moment to sneak a perv without getting caught. High realism at its best.

    Watching FOR YOUR EYES ONLY before I head to work tonight.
    In the mood for an alpine set Bond with wonderful snow sequences.
    After OHMSS this is my favorite snowy Bond.
    Ah, the 1980's.
    Conti's music during the ski chase was later used as the theme for LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS hosted by Robin Leach.

    Bond is wearing a wool cap while adjourning to visit his good buddy, Of Course Mr. White.

    I wore a wool cap when I was a little kid, too. In fact I'd make a puppet out of it and annoy my friends. I think Bond should have done the same to Mr. White.

    Great scene, though.
    This Bond film has recently risen in my rankings substantially. I'm enjoying every yellow filtered frame here.

    Bond gives his word. Craig plays this scene beautifully.
    It is rather disturbing when Mr. White offs himself. I don't believe we've really had a scene like this in Bond before.

    Now we segue to more Scooby gang antics..............

    Ralph Fiennes as M gets better and better, IMO. I do hope he sticks around post Craig providing he doesn't have to put his life and career on hold for 6 years every time he makes a new Bond film.

    Here we go.................007 meets Madeleine. Another scene and section of the film I quite like.

    The Tangier section at the hotel is slower than the Afghanistan section of TLD.
    Still, it's a well played scene and Craig looks perfect as Bond here.

    I could have watched THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA and THE GODFATHER trilogy between the time they arrive in Tangier and the train sequence.

    Bond tries to school Madeleine in the art of gun combat and she's not having any of it.
    All Pierce had to say to Natalya was "You know how to use one of these?" and that was the end of it.

    Bond and Madeleine finally get down. I prefer the Bond/Anya equivalent of this scene actually.
    Now they chill out in the middle of nowhere awaiting their ride.

    Bond looks like Kermit the Frog in THE MUPPET MOVIE when he's tortured by Mel Brooks.

    So here we are at the climax in London. It's grown on me over the years and I've enjoyed this more and more with each viewing.

    Linda Christian is a great Bond girl, IMO.
    I love Barry Nelson here.

    Michael Pate is great in CURSE OF THE UNDEAD. Vampire western B-movie.
    Apparently Universal's new adaptation of DRACULA is set to be a sci-fi western as opposed to gothic horror. If it has an old school vibe I could possibly get into this....however I'm pessimistic and think it will end up crap.

    Pate is a solid Leiter, though IMO.

    Peter Lorre is actually pretty close to how I pictured LeChiffre in the novel.

    I love Bond explaining Baccarat to Leiter here. It's pretty damn funny.

    I do like Barry Nelson's military haircut right out of the LALD novel.
    Apparently he did his research, read both novels multiple times each and went to the barber with a copy of LALD in hand to get into character.
    Just kidding, he actually didn't know much about Bond when he got this job.
    He was trying to avoid imitating Bogart, and was incredibly nervous.
    Odd considering he was quite an experienced actor with years behind him.
    I do like his performance, even if it isn't really the cinematic Bond audiences would later embrace.

    Somewhere I read, probably on Wikipedia, that the original broadcast of this show was in color. I imagine both Nelson and Lorre's dinner jackets were a buff or cream color.
    Maybe Nelson's was gray?

    I showed this one to a friend of mine (also a huge Bond fan) about 30 years ago.
    We get to the 2nd ACT as Bond and LeChifre gamble and my buddy asks, "Is this almost over?"
    The grainy kinescope quality can affect some fans' enjoyment of this epic masterpiece I imagine.
    Michael Pate is very suave and dashing. He should have been Bond with Barry Nelson as Leiter.
    Imagine had Cec Linder played Bond with Connery as Leiter? Or John Terry and Dalton swapping roles.
    On second thought, let's not imagine that.
