And then the end...Sanchez and Bond in the desert with only a machete separating them. I love this scene.

I don't want Sanchez going into full monologue and the leiters lighter pay off is a cracker but sometimes feel it's a shade too short.

This epilogue with the party at Sanchez's house is several shades of wrong. I think they drop the ball a little with Lupe, massively with Felix and also Pam.

It took me the longest time to realise that this was Sanchez' place. As a kid I never connected it. Maybe because it's at night I didn't recognise it?

Why don't you wait until you're asked?

If you ask me to...winking fish...and final Dalton film, final Glen film, final Maibaum film.

This always feels like the end of an era to me. Such a rewatchable film. It's always jostling to get into my top ten. Will be interesting where I place it when I redo my rankings. Love this film and it has a lot of sentimental value for me. Davi is so good. Principled psychopath, good addition to the rogues gallery.

Loved reading your comments on LTK, @Major_Boothroyd.
It's one Bond film I never tire of.

Thanks @ToTheRight - I feel the same as you about LTK. It's always been high on rewatchability and It has a good pace to it. Despite the second act being slightly convoluted with undercover Hong Kong agents and CIA deals for stinger missiles.

As an aside I remember seeing an interview with Martin Campbell where he laughed about the fact that when he was interviewed by EON for directing goldeneye they asked him what he thought of LTK and he said 'well first thing I'd do is shoot the writer!' Not knowing that the man who was interviewing him co-wrote the script!

Time to kick back and watch On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Don't think I've watched this in a year or two!

Gun barrel and music is really striking. Starting on Universal Exports sign and Q boring M is unusual too.

Already the music is kicking ass.

Bond wearing a hat in the first scene...is this the last time he wears a hat in the series? (I know he throws one on the hatstand in the Moore era)

The logistics of Tracy passing out? Wouldn't it have made more sense if she was captured by the waves and Bond saved her?

That swirling uncertainty that hangs in the song suits the escaping sands of time motif.

The mood evoked by 'Try' is smokey perfection.

Diana Rigg's screen presence is awesome. The way she pushes away the casino boss is in itself...boss!

Brutal first couple of fights for Lazenby. Really must have been a different feel when he appeared after Connery. The way George throws his punches is crazily over exaggerated though. Lots of swinging haymakers.

Love the shot of the anchor on the sand as they fight. A decent sized anchor to throw from behind you, while laying down. Lucky the chain was cut short, it could've jerked back and hit Laz in the face...

Goldfinger on the soundtrack via whistling...odd sound effects in the fight and then Draco introduced. Love the way the camera pulls focus to the calendar when Draco puts his glasses on to look at it.

Yes, great shot that I suspect occurred to the filmmakers to capture on the day,

"Does this mean you've lost confidence in me sir?" That line is not delivered convincingly.

Moneypenny gets a kiss on the lips from Bond. Is that the only time (not including the DAD VR thingy?)

"It might be nice to attend night school" Marc-Ange Draco's girlfriend likes the cut of George's jib

They do put George is some pretty crazy outfits - riding jodhpurs are the latest...

"We have all the time in the world" montage...only...love...

Is George the most jovial Bond? I know Moore has the lightest touch...but maybe George has the gentlest?

There's a lot to be said for that quick scene of Tracy and Marc-Ange in the back of the car when she says 'whatever happens, there will be no regrets." It's a quiet little thematic builder but could easily have got lost on the cutting room floor. Glad it retained its place.

Bond arriving in the Aston at M's place. The only time we see M at home until Craig-era Dench.

Big exposition dump here from Lazenby.

Pretty sure it was. Seemed a bit cheeky that Laz would get to and not Sean - as if he requested it.

Good point. I think he was.

True, you could simply drop it on the safe to crack it.

George walking up stairs with his kilt on...Connery must have wondered what THAT was all about! George carries the look well though. Certainly catches Ruby's eye! She's a real 60s look to her.

Some stereotypical meals for the different racial makeup of the women at the dinner.
