As a kid I didn't know what the limes on top of the Budweisers were - I thought they were weird bottle tops.

Even though this whole bar fight is a bit misguided and Moore era bond, dalton does manage to throw a few good punches and the vibe is silly in a film that is otherwise relatively dark.

Love how the dancer keeps on dancing for ages after a mass brawl has broken out. Guess that's the effect of Dirty Love!

Won't dwell on the logistics of the record of dirty love slowing down...it happens simultaneously with Pam shooting a perfect shaped hole in the wall which is a little odd.

Bond can't hit Dario from close range but stone cold kills a moving target from a far distance as he's driving a boat in the opposite direction.

Beautiful sunset shot as the boat runs out of gas.

Lowell is good with the humour in these scenes. She suits the sarcastic delivery. It's the super serious stuff she doesn't always convince on.

Think it was a mistake that Pam and Bond get together so quickly although I don't mind that they get more intimate as they bargain over flying to isthmus. Quite like Kamen's music here.

First and only time we see Caroline Bliss behind her desk as Moneypenny. She has a grand total of five lines in the film.

Bond ordering a case of Bollinger and fresh flowers every morning. Living large.

Like the subtle things like the investors instinctively following Sanchez up the stairs and ignoring Truman lodge as he walks the other way. There is some nice character stuff like that in these dalton films.

Dalton's double take as Pam enters the bank managers office in her new clothes. Her short haircut does look great (her wig in the earlier scenes is pretty rough looking)

I love the line from the pit boss when he says Bond "plays like a real jerk off". It's always made me chuckle for some reason.

Bond gambling up a storm to get the attention of the villain. Love, love, love that move. Very Bondian.

The camera swoop up to reveal Lupe in her femme fatale attire. Excellent.

What WERE they thinking with Dalton's hair?

Dalton’s hair in LTK is sort of a travesty. It was much neater in TLD, while in LTK it seems to always be in a mess. And don’t get me started on the Dracula hairdo.

Pam's unfortunate 'shaken not stirred' hand gesture...

With all the cameras on them seems risky for Lupe and Bond to be talking as intensely as they are on the casino floor.

I do like Pam looking at the vodka martini as if to say 'just you and me now!'

It's an abomination. I can forgive Bond having longer hair if he must but it's like it's never really fashioned by the on-set hairdresser except for one occasion when he's gambling and he looks like bela Lugosi.

    "Lovely view"

That 'Bond James Bond' is the second time Dalton's thrown the line away.

Over an hour into the film and the first face to face between hero and villain.

Dalton's delivery of 'that shouldn't be too difficult' is so perfect, gets me laughing every time. I like how Truman lodge even allows himself a little smirk.

I know some people don't like Q being in this film - but I am not one of them. Love him being here!

    "Hope you don't snore Q"

Bond being sneaky impersonating a waiter, like it. The quieter music from Kamen really works in this film.

"Remember, you're only president for life..." One of my favourite lines.

I think this whole sequence from when Dalton first leaves the casino through to him escaping on the boat Lupe is driving is where the film slows down a little with plot mechanics.

There's some nice stuff in there but taken as a chunk it's about 20 minutes of quite slow building story. I enjoy the subterfuge but I can see why it might be a little slow for modern audiences. Really there's about an hour between the bar fight and the tanker chase with not a lot of action in between,

"There's more to this than your personal vendetta."

"Yes sir!" Q's enjoyment at his reversal of fortune is a delight.

Dressed as the harbour pilot Lowell's bad, broad comedy accent is entertaining. "Take me to the bridge!"

Davi's delivery...'you seem to be having a lot of problems lately.' Is great. As is Krest saying 'we had this crazy harbour pilot.' Setting him up as teller of tall tales just before he has to explain the disappearance of the drugs and money that Bond stole.

During Davi and Krest talking I like the detail of the picture frames in Krest's cabin being crooked and fallen down and books slanted because of Pam's action of smashing the boat into the harbour.

Sanchez's slowly increasing levels of anger as the film goes on is good - and it only happens when he is betrayed. Lupe at the beginning, when he realises Kwang is not who he says he is, when he thinks Krest has betrayed him. Otherwise he's relatively calm.

Lupe and Bond's seduction scene falls flat. Not sure if the script or Soto. Even though I don't like Lowell going all adolescent jealousy on Lupe - I do enjoy her mimicking 'I love James so much' voice.

even though it's plot convenience that Dario isn't around for bond ingratiating himself into Sanchez's company - I do like Dario circling bond when they finally meet. Del Toro is well cast as a psycho.

Professor Joe stuff is distracting but Newton plays it well. Not quite sure if it belongs in this film but there are more lighter touches in LTK than it is often attributed.

Dario getting ground up is brutal. Like the way Pam appears like an Angel of death. Speaking of death - Hellar's is a bit WTF and the one liner doesn't work from Dalton.

Some carnage on the roads now. dropping from the plane on to the tanker is a great stunt. I like the music here and the rube-goldberg effect of the tankers and chasing cars keeps things interesting.

Uzis...was there a weapon more synonymous with the 80s?

Perhaps followed by rocket launchers and shurikens?

Plane narrowly missing falling fiery jeep is a memorable one. They do a good job of incorporating Pam into this climax.
