Wow, that's very good for a trailer to a game.

Having now finished III it did get better and I think I've found out what was 'off' about it. Not once did I have to loot an enemy or purchase a weapon, the style of game just didn't make it necessary, unlike the past once. I also missed having to buy and sell things, send the Assassins out a missions and all that. Again, this type of game and setting, though great, doesn't suit it and Assassin's Creed game as we know it.

I can't wait to play the next one, I still love this series.

I love the bit at the end. Slips out of a back alley, shanks the baddy, grabs the baddy's girl, walks away calmly.

I think this is definetly shaping up to be a great game.

Trailer was meant to be out monday but it leaked. I'd watch it quickly because apparently quite a few versions have been taken down.

Now the trailers for these games always look cool but this really does seem great. The new guy seems badass too.

That bit at the end was pure badass.

    1:16

There were 3 in the bed and the Assassin said, must dash as i've got a haystack to hide in.

Passing GAME recently, I noticed that while brand new it's holding it's price, AC3 pre-owned has dropped to £29.99. It's heading the the right direction, at last.

We started of with a cocky, stoic Assassin in the holy land. Then we had a 007 esque Italian daredevil.

Then we had a cool, suave, sarcy and smarmy English gentleman type, and his boring generic one dimensional Native American son.

Now we have a fearless pirate Assassin who goes around having three ways, tearing ships apart, who Blackbeard looks up to and who steals the bad guys girlfriend after he stabs him.

    Funny how this series changes.

Does that trailer hint at being able to explore underwater??

Very cool, I must admit I fell in love with the AC games whilst playing 2 , I never cared much for 1.
My friend let me borrow his brotherhood and I can't get into it , is it worth sticking with? Then playing revelations and 3?

I would say so, yes. They're not as good as two but the stories should keep you interested enough.

The new assassin looks like Kurt Kobain.

That looks great! My best friend will love the whole pirate aspect of it.

I'll have to see more from the game. AC3 was still a letdown for me, so I may wait for this one.

The one thing I hope it really does well is the main character.

In the second game and it's sequels, it was great being this badass Italian James Bond type. He was a cool character.

In AC 3 it started off well. It was cool being this calm, charming posh bloke who was badass enough to stab somebody at an opera and then just walk right out of there like it was nothing.

Then I got to play as a boring one dimensional native American with an anger problem. Yep, much more fun than the guy I started off playing as and so much more fun than playing as Ezio :(

Finished playing through the main storyline of Tomb Raider today. Still have some odds and ends to go back and collect, but I can't recommend the game enough. I think people here will be more appreciative of this analogy than most; it does for Lara Croft exactly what Casino Royale did for James Bond.

@SlyFox007, that just might seal the deal on me picking this game up. Just beat 'Crysis 3' today on the hardest difficulty, might have to trade it in and pick this one up. Thank you!

@thelivingroyale, I skimmed the former article, but isn't it a possibility that the consoles won't release until November or December and simply put 'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag' into a launch title then?

Wonderful news about 'Battlefield 4.' I'm so excited for that, and really hope it's a definite next-gen title, which I'm sure it will be. I just came here to post that for anyone who is a Premium owner of the game, 'End Game' was released yesterday on the Xbox 360, and I believe it has been out since March 5th for PS3 Premium owners. Downloading the update now, can't wait to sink into the last DLC. I'm going to miss awaiting new DLC, but I suppose that's what 'Battlefield 4' will be for. Wasn't upset in the slightest over that 'Premium' purchase, so I think I'll do the same with 'Battlefield 4.'

Well they've announced the release date for Assassins Creed as October, it's being released on all consoles and the guy said that all versions would be released at the same time. So I think that means the xbox and ps4 will be out in October.

@thelivingroyale, that's very cool. A lot earlier than I had originally thought.

Apparently it's set in the same place as 3, but I hope that doesn't mean they've just reused the same map.

Just watched the 'Saint's Row IV' trailer, and I'm really not impressed. Like others have said, looks like 'Saint's Row 3.5' - which I wouldn't think would be a bad thing - but it looks TOO goofy and futuristic, and I never thought I'd say that about the 'Saint's Row' series.

I don't mind them continuing in the OTT direction, it's what stops the series from being a piss poor GTA. I want more OTT stuff, Saints Row 3 was insane fun and I want them to try and make it even more mental.

My only real worry is this: it's set in the same city as SR3, it's using the same engine, and it was originally meant to be DLC for the game. So will they bother changing the open world at all? If they don't I really won't be impressed.

Anyway, none of that matters because look what else is coming out.

The plane, the blimp and the costume seem a bit old timey and Indiana Jones esque. Prequel? Set in WW2? Either way it'll be brilliant.

@thelivingroyale, that is true. I didn't want to try out the first one - still sitting in my collection - because the graphics just look too bad for me to even handle - but the second one was great fun. I had so much fun with it, and a third one will be more than welcomed.
The first one was good at the time. Graphics were no worse than most games back then and some of the stuff you could do was very cool and original.

But it's really just a prototype for the infinetly better 2nd game.

The Phantom Pain creator Joakim Mogren (Hideo Kojima) will be showing the game off at GDC this year.

@thelivingroyale, another killer for me (after watching gameplay videos of it the other day, as I debated putting it in and trying it) was the lack of rag doll. I just can't play games that don't have that feature.

Apparently the new xbox will need a constant internet connection.

Makes me glad I chose the Wii U.

So many things stack against the NeXtbox, it's almost sad. I may even cry later. When no one is looking.

I have always known Microsoft was stupid, but a constant connection to play games..wow that is a stupid idea.....I hear they are doing away with hard copies and all games will be streamed. Can anyone confirm? I won't buy it, but I am curious as to what the PS4 is going up against.

Two new Dishonoured add on's will have you playing as Micheal Madsen's character (the only guy I spared, simply because, y'know, Micheal Madsen), before and during the events of the main game.
