When Bond and Vesper come barreling into the recovery room during a rain shower, Bond is wearing white sneakers.

When else has James Bond worn white sneakers--or white shoes at all?

Dakota Johnson (yes, THAT Dakota Johnson) almost looks like Sophie Morceau, for me.

They aren't all white, @TripAces, but the shoes he takes off the goon outside Henderson's in YOLT are pretty white.

The way Hinx kills that guy at the Spectre meeting is the same method used by The Mountain to kill the Red Viper. Given that the last actor to play the Mountain was rumoured to play Hinx I wonder if that might have been intentional.

    What film is that from?

Not a film but the tv series Game of Thrones.

When Bond gets to his hotel room in From Russia With Love and tips the bell guy a bunch.

Then you have the bellboy/manager toward the end of MR, who he doesn't tip and seems to have an awkward, slightly hostile interaction with, for some reason.

Is that when he arrives in Rio?

Yes. That moment has always stood out to me, for some reason.

    The President's Suite.
Really? Don't bother showing me the rest. If I get lost I'll take a cab.

That wasn't very nice. Perhaps he thought the suite wasn't very nice...

I thought that was a little bit of classic Moore Bond snobbish arrogance in MR. Same goes for "A woman?!". Loved both. I almost got the impression he did that to avoid giving a tip.

    It is an odd moment.

The porter is very camp, so I always wondered if Bond's "Really?" was meant to be a play on words by implying that the porter had said: "The president's sweet".

That sounds daft now I try to explain it, though. Perhaps it's just an attempt to make Bond seem more masculine by being sarcastic to an effeminate man.

There was a certain uppity quality to the porter's tone too I felt. Moore's response was suitable imho.

I always got a chuckle out of that line. It's like the bellboy was trying too hard to impress Bond or something and Bond cracked a joke. Can't get any better than that. How do you spend 2 hours watching Moonraker if you can't smile? ;)

In Goldfinger, in the forest above Goldfinger's plant, Oddjob hurls his hat at Tilly Masterson and supposedly kills her. But when Bond bends over her body, even though her eyes are closed, you can see her eyelashes flutter. Unless it's one of those after-death twitches. I also never really noticed how good-looking that actress is/was.

I remember that too and thought the way Tokoloshe thought, that maybe the scriptwriters wrote it that way thinking Bond frowns on someone who seems gay, like the porter, to show Bond is tougher or something--or maybe they just wanted to lighten it up for a moment.

MR is Moore tuning up his Rogering to 11. I just love it.

Tania Mallet really was stunning. That scene where she's in the car with Connery, her hair down and smiling at the cars amazing gadgets, she looks absolutely gorgeous!

Shame she didn't have a bigger part!

I totally agree! Come to think of it, she and another Bond girl, Catherine Schell, almost look like they could be sisters.

Something I've noticed is that Craig's incarnation of Bond does that shoulder hug when he passes people in a crowd. I recounted it when he is following Vesper in CR, and while chasing after Silva in the tube station in SF.

He does a little bit of it when pursuing the bathroom Quantum agent at the Tosca in QoS, as well. I've caught random moments like that throughout the Craig era that occur quite a few times, like him nonchalantly throwing objects.

God I love Dan's Bond when he throws stuff. When his era is officially over, I want to see a compilation of everything he's ever thrown in his movies, whether it's a gun, set of keys, glasses of wine, etc.

If any good video editors would like to put that together, I'd be all for it. My favourite would probably be the Land Rover keys in Casino Royale.

One from each film off the top of my head: the car keys in CR, the hotel keys in QoS, the laptop in SF, and the box of personal items from Skyfall in SP.

While watching DAF I noticed that while the moon buggy is being chased one of its wheels comes off & rolls towards the camera.

Not to mention the infamous "Thank you." He might be the most polite version of Bond of all.
