It's not his fault that a camera happens to be in the exact place he happens to look.
    ;) .
Doesn't mean he's addressing the audience.

But you're generally not supposed to look at the camera when your acting in front of one.

So Melina staring straight at the camera after her parents were kill, was a mistake ?
( I thought it was very powerful )
In the Wild Geese Richard Burton stares directly at the camera as he seethes with
    rage.
I guess they didn't know what they were doing ! :D

( I am only pulling legs here guys, not being serious ) ;)

One of my favourite moments from the film. Mesmerizing.

Interestingly the original idea was to go from Melina's eyes into Sheena Easton's eyes in the TS, which would have been effective. But they then decided they needed some nonsense about a delicatessen in stainless steel in the PTS.

The deli line is taken directly from Shakespeare's "Ode to a Tavern" ;)

Hardly, since the word 'delicatessen' didn't come into being until the 19th century.

Indeed, even Shakespeare himself was invented by Sir Francis Bacon, who
Also invented the Bacon sandwich, snowboarding and the first email address.

Shakespeare is Gareth Mallory's younger brother, too.

This might be a boring or weird one, but it finally occurred to me, after seeing the film dozens of times, that Timothy Dalton misreads a line in Licence to Kill.

Bear with me, as this might be boring or nitpicky. :-D

In the pre-titles sequence, Leiter is stopped and told he has a shot at Sanchez, and we hear the following exchange:

FELIX: Oh, James. Explain to Della, will you?

BOND: No way. I'm coming with you.

FELIX: OK, but strictly as an observer!

    BOND: Sorry, Sharky.

    SHARKY: Hey, why me?
Hey, you guys, you can't do this to me!
    What will I tell Della?

There is obviously supposed to be a little joke here that an angry Della is more frightening than a fugitive drug baron and his goons. So Tim should have said "No way, I'm coming with YOU!" Instead, he reads it as "No way, I'm coming WITH you."

I know, dull and pedantic, but it's very odd.

I do think that's meant to be the joke, i.e. they're both leaving Sharkey in the lurch to tell Della.

Yeah, of course, and it's clear in the film from Sharkey's response. But I'm sure Tim was supposed to read his own line with different intonation. As is in the film, he just sounds eager to go on an adventure. :-D

Although surely an actor is allowed to interpret the lines he's given, to
Deliver them as he thinks best ?

In AVTAK when Bond has the fight with Zorin's goons at Stacey's house, the two men he fights in the house are not the same men seen entering the car as they make their getaway.

AVTAK was incredibly sloppy when it came to disguising stunt men and doubling, in fact they made no effort at all.

I'm just watching GE. Before the 'Tiger' helicopter is stolen from the ship in Monaco, Xenia shoots two pilots in cold blood. Her gun doesn't have a silencer and the shots are therefore quite loud.

Given this happened in the ship's hull, I was surprised that none of the several observers sitting on deck waiting for the presentation of the helicopter's capabilities reacted or were surprised.

Perhaps the sound of the military band playing, covered it ?

That is plausible. I can go with that.

Much like the GE interrogation scene, there's the part in TB where Bond and Felix first meet up and they're going to let Largo's man go. Just like Ourumov does, Felix removes the magazine from the handgun and gives it back to the man, forgetting to remove the round in the chamber. Thus, he could've easily killed either Bond or Felix, thanks to Felix's error.
