I think it would be totally justified for anyone to go up to Richard Kiel and ask "Hey, could you put your hands on my skull and just squeeze?" The man is massive, I bet he gets bizarre requests like that all the time. Great pictures, @RogueAgent, I'm very jealous you got to meet Desmond.

I can't believe I've never posted it here, but I've talked to Pierce Brosnan via Facebook twice. Now, it's his official Facebook (that he rarely uses anymore), but one of the times, he assured me it was him. I was really giddy the whole night, like I won the lottery.

One time, he asked who was going to watch the Oscars, and when I asked him if he was presenting, he said he wasn't, but he would be watching from the comfort of his living room. So excited. Then the next time, I think I put up a question pertaining to if he ever runs his Facebook or if he has someone to do it for him, and he assured me that it was him currently typing, but sometimes he has someone doing it for him. Now I just need to meet the guy.

Desmond was an absolute joy and probably the only time I got star struck, as he was the first Bond star I had ever met! It was at a Christmas dinner event at Pinewood studios. He really was a lovable gentleman in real life. Was so lucky to meet the great man.

Funny story about the day was when me and my mate got the tickets? We asked if there was a dress code? As neither of us had been to anything like this before? We were told to dress appropriately. So we went and got a tuxedo each!
Well on the day when we went to Pinewood, we parked up at the front of Pinewood House along with everyone else who was attending. Only to see them all in casual smart dress! Some even had jeans on! We were in stitches of laughter as we now looked more like a couple of bouncers at a children's play centre.

We were rewarded however, as when we checked in! We were issued with our tickets and my mate John was 006 and I was yes 007! \:D/ Graham Rye asked if we were the security? lol! Was a brilliant day which included a tour where we saw the paddock tank mid construction for the Caviar factory set for TWINE, as this was December 1998.

As for Richard Kiel, he too was a fantastic guy to meet. He was a lot of fun and very popular with everyone at the event including his fellow attendee's who were also having pictures taken with him.

Wonderful to read these stories. Thanks for posting. @RogueAgent, should you ever meet Ben Whishaw you must show him your picture with Desmond. I would love to know what he says.

Amazing stuff, @RougeAgent! I wouldn't have known what to do with myself if I ever got to meet Desmond, though I was only 6 or 7 when he passed, unfortunately.

I picture myself walking into a dinner at Pinewood in a tuxedo, and sitting next to Desmond. While we ate away, and without noticing it I accidentally reach over and take some on his food, upon which he slaps me on the wrist and says, "Hey, that's my dinner!"

    If only. ;))

Wow! Those are great photos. Love to hear that they make time for the people who come out to meet them. Keep the photos coming.
  • I'm envious of those photos and the people you've met @RogueAgent. Robert Davi sounds like a good laugh from what other people have to say about him and the interviews I've seen him good. Bet he's got loads of great stories to tell over a few pints :-)

Mr Kil was a pussy cat, another gentle giant but a real decent bloke. We also spoke about his work on the LOTR.

Without a doubt he has. There were certainly plenty of people raving about him and how accommodating he was.

It's going to have to be a very recent one I reckon, so I would guess she was one of the girls used for Quantum Of Solace's titles?

Incorrect my dear Samuel? She was briefly in the actual movie? Not a titles girl! This could make a great new thread game?!

Really?! She still looks very much like a young lady, which she is! It makes me wonder what was Valentin up to in that casino in 1999...was it legal?!... :-O

EDIT: I've just looked it up and she was 23 then, so it's OK and just makes Valentin a bit of a creep. ;)

Amazing, absolutely amazing @RogueAgent, especially getting to hug all those Bond girls, jealous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings on seeing your incredible set of photos...I'm just glad you didn't get one with Denise Richards draped on your shoulder, that would of been too much for my own sense of self worth to handle! :)

I've not met anyone associated with Bond, unfortunately. To my knowledge the only celebrity I've met is Tony Hawk about ten years ago. Went with my dad to one of his events and got my copy of THPS autographed. Can't remember what he said, if anything.

Also my stepdad is 100% sure we walked past Dave Grohl two years ago, as we were walking to the Air Canada Center to see Pearl Jam. I wasn't paying attention but from the back I saw the hair and the FF tattoo on the back of his neck, and he was walking with what very well could've been an entourage. I kick myself every day over the possibility that I actually passed Dave Grohl on the street.

Also, RogueAgent, I've heard Hedison is a great guy to be around. Robert Davi retweeted and thanked me when I said he was one of the best Bond villains. Absolutely great guy.

Both Davi and Hedison are fantastic people to meet! If you should ever get the chance to meet them? Trust me it is well worth it!

Here is the picture of Bruce Glover aka Mr Wint. Had a nice little chat for around 5 to 10 minutes as there was nobody at his table at the time. Spoke about what he had done recently and about his time working on DAF. Another fantastic day out mixing it with the celebs!

Awesome! Boy Meets World is one of my favorite shows of all time, so I am considerably jealous of you. I bet your professor couldn't hold a light to Mr. Feeny, but really, who could? ;)
