x2 - it seems weird to me. Beyond is a publication I've never heard of, and it's odd to me that they'd have an on-set exclusive so early in the game. Surely Empire, GQ, Esquire, or someone similar would have first shot at that?

The Beyond magazine article which appeared to give the impression, although don’t think explicitly stated, that on set at Pinewood was where they’d spoken to Daniel, appears to have been taken down. (I don’t know why though).

    Lizo.

Edit: sorry, didn’t notice previous post about this, and the news article on the main site https://www.mi6-hq.com/news/suspected-fake-daniel-craig-interview-gets-pulled-by-publisher-but-questions-remain-190311

Interesting to note. Never believed the rumor anyway; his look and portfolio never seemed intriguing in any way.

Wasn't Hopkins supposed to be in GE when the script had a mentor of Bond being the villain instead of 006?

I wonder if that idea will ever resurface in a future Bond film.

    Yep! Augustus Trevelyan.

I think with today's mindset and weak storytelling methods, the idea would be butchered. It's best to leave "blast from the past" stories in the past where they belong.

    No way, Jose!

Thanks for the clarification. Didn't believe it for a second. Now, I shall delete his image from my work-in-progress B25 fan poster.

Connery looked great in his 50s. So did Moore in my opinion, until that thing, whatever it is, that happened to him between OP and AVTAK. Dalton was still looking Bond in his 50s (minus the beard).

Pierce was still Bond looking in his 50s. Craig is looking better than ever. With perhaps the exception of Lazenby, who seems to have aged rapidly (but is looking very well today considering his age), I'd say we should consider ourselves lucky with our Bonds and their well-preserved looks.
Well said. If I were to choose to be concerned about anything B25-related.....this wouldn't even make the list.

Bond 25 filming in Lutvann, and possibly the Eastern Markets in Oslo. One particularly interesting pic in this article. Credit to @Someone from AJB for the find.

Secret James Bond recording also at Lutvann? The municipality refuses to say what is happening

Within Østmarka's conservation zone at Lutvann, barriers and large tents have been set up. The urban environment agency refuses to say what's going on. Is James Bond recording moved from Nittedal to Lutvann in Oslo?

    By Arnsten Linstad March 11, 2019 23:17

[(Top photo description): Large tent with barriers and guard is set up within the safety zone at Lutvann. - We cannot say anything about what is happening, says Communications Director Richard Kongsteien in the urban environment agency. Photo: Steinar Saghaug]

The preparations for recording the new James Bond movie, titled "Bond 25, have been underway for a while. In February this year it became known that admission was to be made in Nittedal, right on the municipal border to Oslo.

However, abnormal activity at Lutvann now suggests that the story of Her Majesty's secret agent 007 will also take place in Eastern Markets in Oslo.

    - Last week, large barriers were set up on the ice at Lutvann. About 700 meters of the ski slope are now removed and replaced by a road. In addition, large tents have been set up in Østmarka, Steinar Saghaug tells Vårtoslo.

    Reacts to brisk guardians

Steinar Saghaug is not anyone. As a long-time AP politician, he has, among other things, been an environmental and transport agency in Oslo. With top political responsibility for precisely the management of Eastern Markets.

The experienced Ap politician is also a long-time leader of the association Østmarkas Venner, and therefore knows Marka better than most.

    - I enjoy the James Bond movies, and will not stand up to the film being shot by the Queen of all Markas waters, Lutvann. But I respond to being greeted by brash watchmen who obviously lie when they claim that state water samples are being taken, says one stated Saghaug.

[(photo description): Close to the fenced area at Lutvann, large tents have been set up within the conservation zone in Eastern Denmark. Photo: Steinar Saghaug]

    - The municipality of Oslo and the city environment agency must be able to inform people properly that permits have been given here, and that everything happens in orderly form. I have nothing against that spectacular scenes are filmed in the spectacular nature we have here in Oslo. Only that does not harm nature and is properly cleaned up afterwards, says Saghaug.

    Profitable to film in Norway

The movie with Daniel Craig as 007 has a working title of "Bond 25, and is awarded NOK 47 million in so-called incentive grants to be partly played in Norway. The incentive scheme for film provides a 25 percent refund of expenses for international film recordings in Norway, writes NTB in connection with the recordings in Nittedal. Thus, the film recording will apparently leave NOK 188 million here on land if the entire grant is used.

[(photo description): At Langvann in Nordmarka, on the border between Oslo and Nittedal, a house is built which is likely to be used in recording a James Bond movie. Photo: Håkon Mosvold Larsen / NTB scanpix]

According to the film scene IMDB, the film will be premiered in February 2020, and is on the 25th of the series on agent 007, which is produced by Albert R. Broccoli's film company. Sean Connery's "comeback" as Bond in the 1983 recording "Never Say Never Again" is not included because Broccoli did not have the rights to the script.

VårtOslo has sent a message to the city environment agency's communications director Richard Kongsteien and asked if the agency is familiar with what is happening at Lutvann in Østmarka.

    - Guards not engaged by the municipality

[(photo description): Communications director Richar Kongsteien in the urban environment agency. Photo: Oslo municipality]

    - Yes, we know what happens. But because those who drive to have control over the information about their project, we cannot say anything about it now, writes Kongsteien.

    - But brusque, unpleasant guards tell the public that "state water samples" are being taken. There are 50,000 people living in the immediate vicinity of Lutvann, and this type of information is suitable to scare people. How can the urban environment agency live with that guards scare people with obvious lies? Is this recording of a James Bond movie?

    - I can't say anything about what's going on. But state water samples are completely unknown and sound very strange. There are no guards engaged by us, so it is difficult to comment beyond that it was a very strange answer, writes Richard Kongsteien in a text message to VårtOslo.

    - But this is within the safety zone in the eastern part of the country and so subject to strict rules and requirements. Even minimal tree harvest is duly advertised and informed. Now, instead, people are frightened by watchmen. And the top information responsibility lies well with the urban environment agency? Is it given the necessary permits for activity within the safety zone?

    - I totally agree that the information responsibility lies with us. But can't say anything more now. I work to get VårtOslo a contact person for the project. Then I will answer questions about the safety zone and risk assessment when the project is finished, writes Kongsteien.

    Eventually had to admit filming

The secret film about recording a Bond film is known from Nittedal in February. Local media have repeatedly tried to get Nittedal municipality involved in the construction activity. Both the county governor in Oslo and Viken, Nittedal's mayor, information manager and other responsible in the municipality refuse to tell what is going on, wrote Dagbladet last month.

[(photo description): - I take all reservations, and do not know if this is a movie recording. But something is happening at Lutvann, and it should be possible for the city environment agency and the Oslo municipality to be informed about it in a better and more appropriate way, ”says long-standing AP politician and market advocate Steinar Saghaug. Photo: Steinar Saghaug]

But in the end, however, it was confirmed from Nittedal municipality to Aftenposten that films will be recorded at the newly built cottage at Langvann in Nordmarka.

According to the newspaper, employees of the film production company True North have stayed in the area. These shall be responsible for facilitating "Bond 25" in Norway. The film recording will probably take place in much of March, writes NTB.

Now, there is much to suggest that Lutvann in Oslo will also be used for recording scenes in the new James Bond film. But if this is the case, Steinar Saghaug is not particularly impressed with the way the urban environment agency and the Oslo municipality comply with their information responsibility.

    Open about Italy recording

    - I take all reservations, and do not know if this is a movie recording. But something is happening, and it should have been possible for the City Environment Agency and the City of Oslo to be informed in a better and more appropriate way.

    - Made in the right way, people would have a ownership of the movie that may be recorded. It is positive that Lutvann and Østmarka are used in film recording. But it is not good that hikers are greeted by brusque guards. This could have been done in a much better way, says the Ap-veteran and the long-standing market leader Steinar Saghaug.

[(photo description): Last week, fences were erected on the ice that lie above Lutvann. About 700 meters of the ski slope from the Lutvann camp has been removed and replaced with paved road for cars. Photo: Steinar Saghaug]

According to the industry magazine Variety, the production company behind the 25th James Bond movie is preparing to record also in southern Italy. Variety writes that agent 007 will reside in the city of Matera in March. A city that received the UNESCO World Heritage status in 1993, and also parts of the Ben Hur recording with Charlton Heston took place in 1959. Mel Gibson's highly controversial film Passion of Christ was also recorded in Matera in 2004.

    Leakages and Roman sports

In Italy, the recording of the new James Bond movie is not associated with as much secrecy as in Norway. Opposite the industry magazine Variety, the Italy recording is confirmed by a producer in the production company for the 007 film adaptation.

    - Those of us who remember the leaks in the groundwater zone at Lutvann and Puttjern in the 1990s when the Roman sports was built, are naturally on guard every time we see something abnormal at Lutvann, says Steinar Saghaug.

    - Therefore, it is also worthy of criticism that the urban environment agency and the Oslo municipality do not provide proper information. But if Lutvann really is the scene of the recording of James Bond, then of course I'm looking forward to watching the film, concluding the long-standing market champion and the AP politician.

It was just straight Warhead originally when the unfilmed 1976 script was first written, until many years later when McCIory tried to remake TB a third time with the new title Warhead 2020, which then somehow morphed into Doomsday 2000. But yeah, Warhead is a good title. I don’t dislike it.

I find it comical counting the unofficial films only two actors (not counting Barry Nelson and David Niven cause no one does) Only Three actors (Lazenby Dalton Moore) have had exclusive Fleming titles... Craig nearly was one of them but well Skyfall happened....

    Just an interesting observation

You know what is it terrible? People who want that Bond 25 be titled like another book/script which don't have any connection with it. It would be confusing, lot of people will think that the film will be (and "is" after it's come out) an adaptation of the novel when it's not the case. Property, Risico, and all that other left titles (+ Warhead etc...) shoudn't be, in any case, title of a Bond movie if this movie haven't any connection with the novel of the same name... What's the point to do otherwise anyway ? (seems a very logic thing to me that goes without say it, but apparently it's not the case of lot os people here).

Just for some clarity, I’m not saying Bond 25 should be called Warhead. I’m just saying it was once a good title for an unfilmed Bond movie.

Plenty of Fleming titles have been used without any actual connection to the story itself. The Spy Who Loved Me for example.

I concur @NicNac. Plus France like many other overseas countries doesn’t always use the English title or translation to sell the movie to begin with. For instance The Living Daylights was called Tuer n’est pas jouer which translates as Death Is Not A Game.

Yeah but it's not because it was done before that it :
    - was a good idea at the time
    - or that we must continue do do it.

Yeah our French title are a sometimes nighmare, Tuer n’est pas jouer (The Living Daylights) have even been translated differently for the short story : Bons baisers de Berlin (which mean literrally Good kisses from Berlin, but mean in fact From berlin with love cause FRWL have been transalated Bons baiser de Russie in france which mean literrally Good kisses from Russia - and even the first translation was Échec à l'Orient-Express which mean Failure at Orient-Express. See hard to follow). But the advantage is for titles of the book who are différent of one of the film (who are the same in english), we know instently of what we talk about (the film or the novel).

Yes exactly. I like it also because it reminds me of Ernst Lubitsch masterpiece Heaven Can Wait.

Italy had quite some titles translated differently:

    DN - Licence to Kill
DAF - A Waterfall of Diamonds
    AVTAK - Moving Target*
    TLD - Danger Zone
    LTK - Private Revenge
    DAD - Death Can Wait

*That’s why in SF when Bond says to Moneypenny that a moving target is more difficult to hit felt like an homage to AVTAK, which came just a few minutes before the For her eyes only bit.

But it is not good that hikers are greeted by brusque guards. This could have been done in a much better way, says the Ap-veteran and the long-standing market leader Steinar Saghaug.

    Thanks for the translation :)

I believe it was one of the rumored titles of TWINE where we learned of a supposed Death Waits For No Man. Now, that I title I love immensely, and would’ve preferred it over the generic DAD title.

I know this is kind of the wrong thread for this, but I was so pleased to come up with this title. It just popped into my head while I was watching tv. I even made a logo for it. I would love your thoughts on the title. I know it wont be something that will fit for bond 25 most likely, but I think it's amazing. Let me know what you guys think I sent it to EON just as a fan piece Haha :)

Personally, I think guessing the title is always going to be difficult at this stage as we don't know the plot. All of Craig's film titles are plot and story specific.

    You've had:

Casino Royale: The name of casino he plays Le Chiffre
Quantum of Solace: Probably the most ambiguous of Craig's titles. But it's a reference to him looking for emotional closure. Also, a reference to the organisation he's chasing.
Skyfall: The name of his family home that he returns to.
Spectre: The name of the organisation he faces.

I personally hope they stick to the one-word titles. I like the succinct brevity to them. for example, I quite like a title floated for Bond 24 of Silhouette.

The better question to ask at this stage is whether the title will be one of the following:

    - Villain's name?
    - Female character's name?
    - Name of location?
    - A reference to Bond's mission (eg; a codename)
    - Something generic
    - Something specific to Bond's arc
