    Jokes aside. I do like it. Maybe Dr. Shatterhand would've sounded nicer. After all, he was Dr. Guntram Shatterhand, wasn't he?

    It's funny how we take for granted how certain Fleming titles don't sound like conventional action/adventure film titles. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER certainly sounds more like a slogan than a blockbuster tentpole title.

    Then there's the title that befuddled so many: QUANTUM OF SOLACE, and even the remaining titles that have yet to be used.

    You see, it's like poetry. It rhymes.

    But to be honest, I'm not very fond of Shatterhand as a title, I just want Bond to finally kill Blofeld for good.

    Where is the core source listing it as Shatterhand?

    If so, as a "working title" it could be there to mollify the Fleming purists. :) Like on all forums around the world. I do doubt that will be the title. Happy if it is, but I just doubt it.

    Then again, I would not have guessed the simple "Spectre" would be a title.

    I like SHATTERHAND as a title. But I do cringe at the thought of another movie with Brofeld as the villain. I guess I'll have to get used to it, unless this turns out to be a smokescreen, which is possible.

    Truthfully, if THE SPY WHO WHO LOVED ME was not a Fleming title I imagine there would be so many railing against it. "It sounds too much like a romance film". I remember as a teenager first getting into Bond films that ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE struck me as an odd title.

    In a lot of ways, this makes me hope EON will become a bit more imaginative about their titles in the future. Despite being titled QUANTUM OF SOLACE, people still went to go see that flick because it's ultimately a James Bond film. Heck, I'd use RISICO at this point, if for no other reason than just getting that over with and essentially preventing any more fan films from using that title.

    Fleming had variety in his titles: FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, THUNDERBALL, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, OCTOPUSSY, etc

    Sometimes I feel the filmmakers try so hard to come up with a title that sounds Bondian they tend to lose that variety: TOMORROW NEVER DIES, DIE ANOTHER DAY and so forth.

    I do prefer when Eon use a phrase or something from the man himself when coming up with a title, therefore I don't really mind SHATTERHAND.

    Three "S" titles in a row is a bit redundant. It's been so long that there's been a new Bond film in the works I don't think audiences will remember what letter the last film started with anyway.

    Funnily, I feel TOMORROW NEVER LIES fits better as a title Fleming would have used, whereas TOMORROW NEVER DIES just sounds more generic. I wish that infamous typo made at MGM wasn't made.

    I just hope that they announce the director, the title and the screenwriter(s) at the same time soon. We're all getting a bit crazy on this thread. On the plus side, next week, Dynamite comics we be releasing the first James Bond Origins comic.

    w/t means working title-- which is in brackets beside SHATTERHAND...

    Now a few of us knew that EoN was gearing up for something and ppl were to be taking production offices by end of April-- which follows the timeline of the P&W script... So if the working title (w/t) was SHATTERHAND, it would be posted as such on a production site (because they were about to start crewing up).

    Then, suddenly, this news of production offices opening went very quiet leading into April...

    And then it was announced that Boyle and his idea would now be B25.

    It's highly reasonable to believe that B25 (w/t SHATTERHAND) was never changed over-- and for many reasons-- but the one I subscribe to is this: although they are using what will soon be a polished script based off the Boyle script, Boyle had no title yet for the film-- thus the production announcement remains James Bond 25 (w/t SHATTERHAND).
