So about the steelbooks, how limited are we talking here?

    2,000 steelbooks per film....worldwide :-).

I was checking some classic vintage posters from the 1960's

Many US One sheet posters were printed in a circulation of 400 pieces. For instance the "Thunderball" US One-Sheet had 372 (limited) copies. Now the most beautiful looking pieces are like $3,195. And that's 50 years later.

Given the fact that Earth's population has increased considerably since 1965, I reckon these steelbooks will become very expensive over time. The "Goldfinger" steelbook I have -released last year- was also limited to 2000 steelbooks.

I only want a steelbook of SPECTRE to cherish. I will probably watch it ten times in the first month of release on Bluray. Am I the only one who thinks that skeletons would make a great Title sequence theme. It would work with the PTS and with the white on black font of SPECTRE. Also skeletons have always been synonymous with evil. I think this would work great on a steel book.

They are very nice, especially the Klienman titled ones. Shame the Skyfall one isn't coming to the UK as that is particularly nice.

Lets hope they are region free (steelbooks)

Practically half price in US and they have QoS and Skyfall. Stupid decision by EON / studios to not sell them in UK

Steelbooks are always region-free. And the steelbooks from SF and QOS can be easily bought/pre-ordered via German webshops later this month:
    http://www.bluray-disc.de/blu-ray-news/filme/86129-james-bond-steelbooks-mit-neuem-bonusmaterial-ab-15-september-2015

The German ones have German removable stickers on them.

There are some of exceptions. I believe the 50th box set was region locked and there is a new box set coming out with the Steelbox - hence I fear they might be lazy and be the exact same discs in the Steelbox

The new 23 movieBluray set wil only avaible at American webshop and include Bonus disc with 2 new features and documentry Everthing or Nothing.

    http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/james-bond-reissues.html
Two new featurettes are included based on interviews with renowned Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. The Shadow of SPECTRE concentrates on the history of SPECTRE.. The second featurette, The Story So Far, recaps and relives the significant moments from the previous three Daniel Craig Bond films.

The Ultimate James Bond Collection features all 23 iconic Bond films together in one Blu-ray box-set, which includes a 24th space for Spectre and, for the first time, digital copies of the collection. Also included is a new bonus disc exclusive featuring Everything or Nothing, a 90-minute documentary on the untold story of 007 and a pocket-sized James Bond 50 Years of Movie Posters book including the best posters from Dr No through to Spectre. This collection will be exclusively available at Amazon.com.

Dedicated Actor Packs with new packaging will also be released on Blu-ray & DVD.

I think there should release this bonus disc in a new QOS 2 disc release. Besides that disc and booklet i doubt or people have intrest in cheap looking 3 keepcases where 2 of them include 10 discs.

    Unknown11240-2.gif?1424356258
    example of 10 disc keepcase.

Besides this who going at Spectre in this keepcases if it have it his own keepcase. So better have named third keepcase 2006-2012.

Can a German speaker let us know if Mediamarkt.de ships outside Germany? Or will Amazon.de be stocking them as well?

Congratulations! And may I commend you on such fine taste in bond! I too am a steelbook virgin, though I hope this to change when SPECTRE gets released on BD.

And indeed, first I recommend you to buy these, before the September 15th flooding of steelbooks ;-):

I'd love to get my hands on the GF and SF steelbooks. I traded someone a few blu-rays I didn't want anymore for that GE steelbook a couple weeks back. Excellent decision.

Man I can't find that Casino Royale Steelbook anywhere!

It doesn't help if the British Pound is expensive...and the Euro very weak ;-).

Just found all 9 James Bond steelbooks from MediaMarkt.de. They are being sold there as "MediaMarkt Exclusives":
    http://www.mediamarkt.de/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/MultiChannelSearch?storeId=48353&langId=-3&searchProfile=onlineshop&channel=mmdede&searchParams=/Search.ff?query=james+bond+steelbook&channel=mmdede&path=&query=james+bond

As you can see, in Germany they are €17,99 each. Which is almost €7 cheaper (!!) as compared to Zavvi.com (UK, €24,85 each)! And in Germany you can also buy "Quantum Of Solace" and "Skyfall". Look what you are saving:

"Zavvi Exclusive" set of 7 steelbooks:
    - €173,65

"MediaMarkt Exclusive" set of 7 steelbooks:
    - €127,92 (including €1,99 package costs)

    You're saving a whopping €45,73!

If you buy all 9 "MediaMarkt Exclusive" steelbooks you pay:
    - €163,90 (including €1,99 package costs)

Advantage: You'll be saving a lot of money. Secondly, the sticker mentions that for each steelbook "New Bonus Material is Online Available". Also, with the German MediaMarkt steelbooks you can remove all stickers and the discs inside are, like with Zavvi, region-free (A, B & C)
    James-Bond---Quantum-Trost-%28Steelbook-Edition%29-%5BBlu-ray%5D

Also, the more exclusive "Goldfinger" steelbook can be bought there as well, for €20,99:
    James-Bond-007---Goldfinger-%28Steelbook-Edition%29-%5BBlu-ray%5D

Disadvantage: You can buy the steelbooks from MediaMarkt.de only if you live in Germany. Luckily, in my case, I have a good friend who lives in Oldenburg and who can help me out ;-). Also, via MediaMarkt.de it is not yet possible to pre-order yet. Just be patient....

I can pick up all nine from Best Buy for $120, and that price will be significantly discounted once I factor in selling my previous nine blu-rays and the digital copies they come with.

Yeah, but for European residents that $120 (€110,81 with current exchange rate) will be more expensive once all overseas package/postal costs will be included. Unless.....you are willing to send the entire 9-piece-set to me with a total of $10 postal/package costs ;-)? I don't know....any good friend from the USA.

Well, we can see that the Dollar is the nicest currency here, followed by the Euro :-P. But the Pound...

@Gustav_Graves, I'm broke enough as it is trying to pickup the steelbook collection for myself! I'd suggest getting them however you can for whatever price you're comfortable enough with, since the steels seem to be touted as 'limited edition.' I've heard that before, but I also read they'd be sold in a limited set of 2,000 a piece, though that could be wrong.

    But the Pound...

We're used to it. We pay through the arse for everything here, so its par for the course.

Do you guys also have some of the amazon exclusive steelbooks as well? Or is that a totally different thing? The 4 steelbooks you have posted look amazing, but they are very expensive now. I might try to add a few of these to my collection.

Apparently at Best Buy in Canada the actors sets will be steelbooks? Is that an exclusive or have I just misinterpreted the news last week and in actuality all actors sets are steel books?

These are very nice looking! I just accidentally picked up Psycho on Blu-Ray (steelbook) for $9. I didn't realise.
