Scotland is possible as are many locations but Norway is maybe more logical?

    I’m guessing it’s Norway again.

Who knows maybe they’ve found some locations in Scotland that could double for Norway?

Exactly what I was thinking. Hence Fukunaga not mentioning Scotland when asked about locations in the press conference.

    Scotland?

It was rumoured in the Daily Record that filming would take place in Scotland in August:

"A source said: “Main cast members are due to arrive in Scotland for filming around August. Locations in the Highlands and Aviemore have been scouted and filming is expected to last for just over a week.

“As is the norm with Bond films, a number of locations across the world are being used. The schedule is tight and simultaneous production can take place in more than one location at a time.

Maybe they were planning for Kincade to come back for a surprise appearance.

It's kinda weird they are still location scouting.......I suspect that photo is actually Norway though. Unless Scotland is standing in for Norway as it's cheaper and more cost effective to film an action scene there.

Also, the video looks a lot like this photo that Cary and his friend Ameer visited last year in Norway:

I suspect Cary's reasons for scouting have something to do with his directorial style. Read this quote from a New York Times and Guardian profiles written about him:
    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/11/magazine/true-detective-director-cary-fukunaga-netflix-maniac.html

    https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/sep/20/cary-fukunaga-exclusive-interview-new-james-bond-director-netflix-maniac
    • The location team showed Fukunaga hundreds of possibilities before finally uncovering the one that was just right. “It’s the hardest thing when you can feel dozens of people, literal breathing human beings who are standing next to you on a tech scout, for example, all being like, Can we just get back in the [expletive] bus?” Patrick Somerville, the creator and head writer of “Maniac,” says of Fukunaga’s determination. He cannot stand a mediocre job, Somerville explains. “That’s it. I think it’s vulgar to him.”

    • Fukunaga doesn’t settle for anything less than exactly what he wants. It is sometimes difficult for him to articulate what he’s looking for, he says, but it’s there – a feeling or a vision. He talks about a scene in Beasts of No Nation in which he wanted the family to come out of a church on a grassy hill, with a specific idea in his head of what that church and hill looked like. He hunted for it. “I had a motorcycle and I would go out by myself on the weekends and just look around. You’re like a bloodhound, there’s a whiff: ‘Just over that ridge, hopefully there’s that thing I have in my mind.’ And the spooky thing is, sometimes you find it. We found that church. It existed.” All of this brings to mind Stanley Kubrick.

Considering Fukunaga is the FIRST writer-director of a Bond film (albeit, there have been a few other cooks in the writers' kitchen), this could be more of an auteur Bond film than SF.

I'm fairly sure it's Norway as well. Makes far more sense at this point, considering the recent reports of them going back there in mid-June to shoot on the Atlantic Road.

People hate SF? That film is as universally loved as CR. It was the only Bond film that got legit Oscar buzz. Bloody good film.

Also, Ana De Armas posted this on Insta. Is she hinting that she’s flying over to film Bond? It's the only thing on her schedule currently.

Absolutely not. Fukunaga is working with many above the line people (production designer, costume designer, etc.) he did not choose and his script is being rewritten by someone the main actor wanted on board. It was going to be most auteur Bond film ever, but then Barbara Broccoli decided to change course.

I agree with you on this. And I'm happy for it. If it turns out to be a Fukunaga's author film, I'll be fine with it. Happy, even. But I wouldn't want an author film with Boyle at the helm. I'm more appreciative of Fukunaga's style and references than of Boyle's.

No problem with a Bond author film. But it does depend on the author.

The writer of this article claims he's "had some pretty good intelligence" that the Aston Martin AM-RB 003 could be seen in B25, but then he continues on as if it's merely his own speculation. It is also mentioned here twice that the DB5 will return, although I don't remember it being confirmed anywhere that the DB5 in particular will be back, just that AM will provide a new model.

What interests me most though is the claim that "Jaguar Land Rover will continue playing along as the bad guys. It will provide the as-yet-unseen Defender as a villain car".

Dali Bensallah is still in Port Antonio:

I guess he is working with the second unit team out there currently......

Also, I'm confused why Cary has gone to Norway. Aside from the case that he may be a control freak and is still seeking the "perfect" location, it seems weird for him to abdanon Pinewood if they are there till June.

The alternative would be that Norway filming is commencing earlier than we thought.

Also, here's a photo that Cary's brother put on Instagram. I think Cary flew his siblings out for the Jamaica filming.

Yeah, thank you. Our friend is some what pedantic.

    Somewhat*

    (Sorry had to do that)

I just find it weird - I never saw her as a 'Maddy', she's a 'Madeleine' to me. Any attempt to shorten it to Maddy feels like a forced attempt to ingratiate her on us.

Also it gives the character and filmmakers of SP way more credit than they're due. They didn't effectively set up a character that rightfully deserves nickname affection.

but i get it if people are just too lazy to write 'Madeleine'.

FWIW, Babs doesn't care what you call her as long as you buy a ticket (or five).

CR is my favourite of the era but Skyfall easily takes the no. 2 spot, yes the hatred for it might not be as much as it seems on here but certain voices shout it very loudly and one in particular can't help but reiterate this in any thread they get the opportunity to.

I believe many of us still do love this film warts and all.

I do love it. I actually have love for the first three, and for some SP parts. I hope the 5th will make me say I love them all and want a 6th.
