    Precisely. Just clickbait rubbish because a major role is about to be recast. Even though he had some arguments in there that are valid, it's really much ado about nothing because it's not even a point of discussion as far as I'm aware.
    I think you´re both overlooking a major point in that article. It may be clickbait to base it on Elba, yes, but nonetheless, the writer says some very good things about film characters. I find Batman as a character boring fom what I´ve seen in cinemas, which is basically everything since Burton´s first Batman film. If what that guy writes about Bruce Wayne´s background would really be present throughout a film, I would want to watch that. And the same goes for Bond or any other hero. Babs kept on telling us how much she wants Bond films to include character, yet basically Bond had much more character in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, where he was being criticised for lacking character development. The new films feature development, yes, but the character is lost more often than not.

    Those who attacked Affleck may very well miss him in future films. He was not a bad Batman.

    So far, Affleck has certainly been my favourite Batman by a wide margin.

    RE: Affleck. Not a fan of him as either Wayne or Bat and won't miss him. I think perhaps he was too famous for the role for me? I just see Affleck and not Wayne.

    I think to a degree it's there in the whole 99/1% false prophet populist mantra in the third one and in his interactions with Selina Kyle. It's most clearly represented in BB, true, but it's there in all three films even if seen through Wayne's facade of arrogance/privilege/wealth.

    I think Affleck’s heart hasn’t been into playing Batman ever since his script was rejected and a new director was brought it; he was originally set to write, direct and star.

    I loved the first one. The next two completely lost me...
    I second that, as well. BB was a superb Batman film. The next ones... I never revisited them ever since my first viewing of both.

    Begins is still the best Batman film ever made.

    The Dark Knight is a great film, but it doesn't find its way into my DVD player as much as the first film does despite Heath's wonderful performance.

    Rises gets worse everytime I watch it. It starts off well and just falls apart after the Bane-Batman fight.

    BB is technically the best. In terms of viewing enjoyment however, I like TDKR the most, followed by TDK and then BB.

    Batman Begins is a rather shameless copy of The Shadow (1994). That said, it's an inspired copy. Well done. TDK is Nolan's Batman version of Heat (1995). Heath Ledger's in-color 'Crow' version of Joker did not thrill me, nor did the film itself. TDKR was his Batman version of The Road Warrior. I took the advice of Humungus and just walked away. ;)

    Ben afflecks suit compared to Bales is hiliarious. Bale’s suit looks so horrible.

    Ben Affleck is the best Batman by far but Zach Snyder’s story telling sucks. All I can really say at this point. :(

    His warehouse fight scene was the only good thing about his entire DC series.

    I much prefer the later Nolan Batsuit to Snyder's.

    Indeed Batfleck is a brute compared to Bale. I never saw Batman that way though. He's not supposed to be a Hulk. Just fit. Batfleck is bigger than Supes and it looks odd.

    Actually if you grew up reading the comics and watching the animated series they are built that way.

    Batman looks like a god and so does Superman. Bruce Wayne literally looks like he is 6 foot ish and 290. Pure muscle. Story telling wise and editing I will vote for Nolan all day.. Costumes, fight scenes and casting go to Snyder. I could’ve never have seen Nolan making a good shared universe. His Batman was extremely realistic.

    Plus factor in Clark Kent was a nerd. He isn’t supposed to look like a bodybuilder or the most attractive guy around. Bruce Wayne is one of the most famous people in the world in their universe. He’s one of the richest and girls flock him. So it makes sense that he would be bigger so it would give him some edge vs a guy who has superpowers.

    Honestly, I don't think any Batsuit has looked good past Batman Forever nipples not withstanding. Without those, it was a solid upgrade to Keaton's Batsuit. And I'm not a fan of these overly textured costumes which isn't a DC issue but in lots of stuff today.

    I did grow up on the older comics and you're right actually. I never thought about that. Batman and Superman were quite 'chesty' in the comics for lack of a better word (like Charles Atlas). It's just that Affleck seems a bit stocky in that suit whereas I always imagined Batman to be a bit leaner (while still chiseled). He really looks like a tank in the upper body area.
