Scenes in the James Bond Films that make you squeamish?

Are there any scenes in the James Bond films that are difficult for you to watch due to your being squeamish? Do they make you wince every time you watch them?

I used to be very squeamish when I was younger and a mention of AIDS or even blood in Biology or Geography class would have blanched my skin white and brought me out in a cold sweat though thankfully I never actually fainted! I'm a lot better at dealing with my squeamishness now though. Perhaps studying Criminal Law and reading True Crime has toughened me up somewhat.

Scenes from the Bond films that make me a bit squeamish and that are hard to watch are the following:

Dr Kananga cutting Bond's arm with a knife in LALD
The stabbing of Mr Slate by Bond in QoS

Strangely the Krest head explosion scene in LTK never really bothered me despite all of the blood. Neither did Dario falling into the cocaine grinder.

There may be others but those are the two worst in my opinion and the QoS one is really difficult for me to watch as it is one of the more brutal scenes in a Bond film. I've more or less come to terms with the knife cutting Bond's arm in LALD and it was a real comfort to know that the blood ran out of the knife through a hole in the blade. That made it easier for me to watch.

So which scenes from the Bond films make you squeamish? I'd love to hear from you.

    The most disturbing scene I have ever seen in any film is the scene in AVTAK when the guy is thrown into the water pump shredder. You can see his body shredded and it looks as real as I imagine it would look. Kinda amazing it was never toned down for the PG rating. It's weird that my all time most unpleasant scene is from a James Bond film and not some 18/R rated horror/gore film!

    The invisible car in DAD - even now I squirm in my seat and go thru the same emotions as when seeing it for the first time in the cinema - are they? No surely they're not going to do that? Oh wait they have.

    Casino Royale: Toilet scene and there is to much action that followd and that the maintitle is in between not make a much difrence. Producers mabey think difrent about that, because i get feeling the maintitle official be after this. Stairs fight and Airport scene. Of course also thanks to David Arnold and soundmixer. Of course movie was Daniel Craig intro and movie missing the gunbarrel at start.

    Already feel/see a difrence with Spectre. soundmix of Spectre in 7.1 was very good in the cinema, exept that audio moment in the torture scene. But for the rest i don't have problem with the scene because i know there two reasen's why it is done. I am more ''postive'' about that then trailers lie again about something earlier in movie not happend whyle trailers sugest something difrent.

    I expected Spectre going to give ansers and can forgive them for there sins. This is because i am thinking there making a connection with scene in Madagascar, Airport scene in Casino Royale and finaly another hint of Bond realy loves Vesper and revenge point some people claim missing in QOS. But no ''writing on the wall'', we stil must wait longer.

    The sex scene between Xenia and the admiral in GE always makes me feel I should leave the room.

    There is only one scene that generally makes me uncomfortable and that is Bond slashing Slate.

    Yes, me too! The scene with Ronson is also very unsettling. And Vesper drowning. God damn you, Daniel Craig!

    The most disturbing, horrifying and unsettling scene ever in a Bond movie is this:

    "Mommy...was...verybad"

    Still gives me nightmares.

    Besides that:
    Mathis getting shot (why oh why?)
    Vesper drowning (why oh why?)
    M dying a senseless death (why oh why?)
    Quarrel getting toasted (very unsettling)
    Melina's parents getting riddled with holes (very disturbing)

    The only scene I have a hard time watching without having steam coming out of my ears is when Bond tells his real name to the policeman in AVTAK, right before the firetruck chase. If there is one thing I hate, it's having characters not believing the main hero when he/she tells the truth (and the audience knows he/she is right). It makes my blood boil everytime I come across such moment.

    Mathis dying pissed me off when I saw that scene, but in an "oh no, please" Kind of way.
    The ball smashing got me in the gut.
    Blofeld's needle torture, but only because of Craigs screaming. He just fucking screams.

    Squeamish scenes in a Bond movie? Good Question...

    Kanaga cutting Bond's arm. Pretty sure it was first time Bond was cut on screen and it looked realistic

    The shark eating Stombergs secretary was another scene that made me squeamish

    It's more the thought of it but in LTK, I hate the thoughts of the guard

    A couple of years ago I watched every COLUMBO episode/film in order. I grew up with it. One of the best shows of all time. It was part of NBC MYSTERY THEATRE in the '60s and '70s.

    Yes, I'm a very big fan too and I actually consider it the best TV show of all time. I have all of the episodes on DVD and watch them all quite often although it takes a good while to watch through all 69 episodes of the show (1968-2003). Highly recommended.

    I bought the Complete Blu-ray collection with all 69 episodes in superb high definiton from Japan a couple of years ago.
    Columbo is one of my favourites as well, together with Charlie Chan and Murder, She Wrote. I love murder mysteries.

    Columbo is one of my favourites as well, together with Charlie Chan and Murder, She Wrote. I love murder mysteries.

    Only Columbo isn't really murder mystery, as we know whodunnit from the outset. What we get is the detective (who seems to know the guilty party straight off), wearing down his suspect and catching him/her in a lie and usually getting a confession. Great TV show brilliantly played by Peter Falk.

    Derailing this thread even further: I loved Columbo, but every episode is really just the same over and over, and be sure to watch Peter Falk playing himself in DER HIMMEL UBER BERLIN!
