You have accused others of trolling, so how do you defend this kind of provocation in a Roger Moore appreciation thread?

I don't have to defend myself when I laugh at such ridiculous statements! Hahahahaha

A great picture! Such a shame we lost Richard, still hard to believe he is no longer with us!

@MartinAston. Smiley faces are always a compelling argument. You got me there! For someone who apparently doesn't like Rog,you spend a lot of time on this thread!

Sadly I fear a lot of the fun has been taken out of these threads without @doubleohdad. I miss him already.

I wish they were both back, past many a happy moment with them.

He's probably on his way to some international court to blame global warming, the decline of our school system and Miley Cyrus' indecent exposure on Roger Moore.

To be fair, Rogr Moor did have disgusting fingernails.

    And he courted my mother.
Yes, I'm Roger's son. My best features include eyebrows that can kill, an impeccable taste for women and a sense of humour that makes Eddie Izzard blush.

Like you @DrGorner I grew up on The Saint,The Persuaders and personally always imagined RM being Bond. He has done so much to support the Bond franchise. Always with a kind word for the other actors in the role. Went to see Brosnan on the GoldenEye set and joked he was coming back to take over and he thinks DC is doing a great job now. He enjoyed his time as Bond and has never shied away from that. Still happy to talk about it at the numerous Q&A sessions he's done. He could have gone down another route and bitched and moaned about Cubby and Harry AFTER he finished with it. I for one was pleased when OP trounced NSNA at the box office even with the fanfare of Connery coming back. Connery may be the better actor in the role but Roger is who I'd want to have a drink with.

The Saint and the Death Rays was practically an audition for Bond.

The saint also had an episode were he teamed up with a rich American
To stop a smuggling ring. Which many think was the basis for the
    Persuaders.

As for more dramatic roles. The Man Who Haunted Himself wasn't shabby.

    Among his best work IMO.

I liked him in Gold, Wild Geese & The Sea Wolves as well.

A film he did which I think is terrific and doesn't get shown too often is
The Naked Face. Roger is really good in it and drops many of his trademarks
To give a very human, vulnerable performance.

North Sea Hijack was him as Bond with a beard haha. Very good.

Yes, I loved the North Sea Hijack aka FFolkes.

I don't remember the Naked Face too well as it's been a long time since I've seen it. I remember it being serious and Anne Archer (a personal fav) being in it so I'll have to watch it again soon.

I can remember watching North Sea Hijack as a teen/ 20 or so and started
Growing beard, I thought I looked so cool. Probably looked like a young
    Greasy git. :))
