Now you've got me thinking on the alcohol: is it whiskey? Many faces, yet whiskey is still whiskey. I would venture and say Walther, because the models do change, Bond can really depend on them, and Bond would be screwed in a lot of scenarios if he lacked it.

Nope, but I know you can get this.

Here are the clues from the previous page:

*The answer is one of the staples of the series, and not just a one-off or two time deal, though it is not as traditional as the Aston, Martini or gun barrel either.

*The answer is many times crucial to Bond and his mission's success, and helps to alleviate the heaviness of responsibility on his shoulders.

*Without me Bond would often lose a leg or two up on the action.

*I am one of the only things Bond truly trusts and can depend on.

*Though I have many faces I am always the same.

Is it a male M? Pretty broad, but now I'm real lost. M is always the same, but has a different face from time to time. But, with that, there are times that Bond can't trust M and has to work on his own.

No, but you are warmer. Keep on that trail of logic.

Lets have some more questions... Brady you're holding this thread hostage for pages and pages and pages, give some more concrete hints.

I have given plenty of clues. The only reason this has gone on for pages it because one or two are full of back and forth posts you and I exchanged yesterday on your other account.

Or the fact that you're asking the most purposefully obscure questions imaginable, to make yourself look like some kind of Bond superscholar.

Is it a knife? It's both in FRWL (from the attaché case) and SF (from Kinkade). It alleviates the heaviness of responsibility on his shoulders (the Walther). Many faces: knife, dagger, sword...

Why are you crying like a child? Either act mature and play the game, or exit the thread and stop wasting everyone's time and submitting spammy posts. It's incredibly pathetic.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, with that logic, is it Q? Desmond was introduced as Q in FRWL, and Whishaw was introduced as Q in SF.

No, but again you are close.

    Another clue:

The answer I am alluding to is strangely absent from both films, hence it is the thing they both share.

This is quite a good one, Brady. I feel like it's staring me right in the face, and yet it still stumps me.

    Is it Felix Leiter?
  • Gadgets are for the first time introduced in the continuity, and furthermore are gadgets that can be imagined in the hands of an actual agents. That is to say, one can imagine a real agent with a briefcase holding a sniper rifle, some coins, and a booby-trapped opening, just as one can imagine a palm-print gun and a miniature radio transmitter?

Yes! Felix is absent from both FRWL and Skyfall.

*The answer is one of the staples of the series, and not just a one-off or two time deal, though it is not as traditional as the Aston, Martini or gun barrel either.-Felix appears in many Bond films, but isn't as traditional as other aspects of the franchise

*The answer is many times crucial to Bond and his mission's success, and helps to alleviate the heaviness of responsibility on his shoulders.- Felix often helps Bond out of a jam, and makes his heavy responsibilities a little 'Leiter'. ;)

*Without me Bond would often lose a leg or two up on the action.- Again, Felix helps Bond out a lot, and the clue references Felix's loss of limb by the shark in LTK.

*I am one of the only things Bond truly trusts and can depend on.- Bond is very trustful of Felix, and trust is not something he gives out easily.

*Though I have many faces I am always the same.- Felix has been played by many actors but is always the same character.

Great guessing by @Creasy47 along the way, and on to you, @0013! =D>

    The question should have bee:
"What do FRWL, YOLT, OHMSS, TMWTGG, TSWLM, MR, FYEO, OP, AVTAK, GE, TND, TWINE, DAD and SF have in common?"
Wow that really narrows it down.
    Hopeless love.
  • I feel a bit cheated, but that really is a brilliant move. Not something that they have, but something that they lack.

    Mothercanucker.

FRWL is the first one to have a pre-title scene, SF is the last one, so far.

Thanks, @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, and congratulations to you on a round that stumped quite a few of us. Good work, @0013.

It has already been solved, mate.

Thank you @0Brady and @Creasy. You know, I believe that it's better to try to reason and to think than to complain and shout for attention.

Anyway, this is my trivia: Which specificity does OHMSS and SF share?

We get a look into Bond's history? Information on his family tree/crest in OHMSS and a look at his childhood and reference to his parents in Skyfall?
Not exactly the thing I was thinking of.

A massive attack on a building happens at the climax of each of them?
  • Only two movies where Bond cries?

Only two movies where Bond cries?

    Oh, that's a good guess!

Didn't Bond cry in Casino Royale when Green died in Venice ? He looked very upset, in any event. Has to be other instances where Bond was close to tears at one point or another, but OHMSS is probably the only real occasion, I didn't see too much of it in Skyfall, as in when M died at the end ? Could well be right though

I don't believe he actually shed tears in Casino Royale. He may have in the novel; I haven't read it, but I've heard that he did. In OHMSS you hear him sob, and in Skyfall you see the tears run down his face as he holds M's body.

I think he does cry in CR, but that doesn't change the fact that he does in both OHMSS and Skyfall, which is what the question is asking for.

Nothing yet. A clue: it isn't something that Bond does.
  • Longest running times, to date, in the Bond franchise?
