anyone think they will rerelease the die another day one its very expense and rare now

The only La-La Land scores I can immediately think of that have received reissues were for pretty iconic movies - Tim Burton’s Batman got reissued as a set along with Returns, and Die Hard got an even more expanded anniversary edition - but with the vast majority of their score albums, once they’re sold out, they’re gone.

Die Another Day isn’t even nearly in the same league as the few that have been re-released, so I’d say don’t hold your breath.
  • Die Another Day is also pretty accessible, no? The whole extended track is available on Youtube.

Well ignoring the fact that this thread should be celebrating the magnificent ohmss la la release ,I will say the only annoying thing for me about dad was the lack of the film version of graves grand entrance equally twine missing same for body double.

I was dubious at the price, Inc postage to the UK. It arrived copiously packaged, with all the tracking, it’s playing now and, dare I say it, it is Christmas in summertime. Because, as with many of us I’m sure, I treat OHMSS, as my only true Christmas movie. So to have this now, methodically and richly re-tooled, is a treat beyond expectations. Thank you to all at LLL, I am transported;)

Is there a separate thread for the la la land reissues in general or is this it?

The 007 Store shipped mine today. Hopefully it won't take long to arrive!

Unfortunately for me la la still has me on awaiting shipment, probably due to the fact I ordered mi final reckoning at the same time, so haven't seen the booklet, or read here about the two 'deep hypnosis' tracks whether disc 2 is film version or not?

Hope you will receive both soundtracks very soon, @morcarvic! This reminds me that I am yet to watch Dead Reckoning and The Final Reckoning. Must do that soon.

Just got mine today, listening to wedding ring I find this track a little at odds with its film tracked counterpart as sounds more like an alternate take of Tracy's death .

Interesting observation! I haven't listened to the entire soundtrack yet, but will keep that in mind when I do.

Having exhaustively gone through this release now, lining up each track with the movie, I appreciate it even more! And this process made me appreciate OHMSS more as a film, and notice things I had never done before.

I like how we now have the film versions of "Try" and the instrumental "We Have All the Time in the World" (not that the latter features in the film). To me it sounds like these versions were recorded with an electric bass, rather than an upright, as well as being faster in tempo.

I can only echo what others have said regarding "Prelude". Really nice piece, and I can just about hear the string part in the film, too, as someone else mentioned.

And I never realised how much I needed the film mix of Louis Armstrong's "We Have All the Time in the World"! So many lovely little guitar fills.

Ditto, the flute-led piece just before the end credits. That should have always been included, it's such a memorable moment, accompanying what's probably the most affecting ending to any Bond film.

I could go on and on, but I'll leave it there. Thanks once again, @nsb1234!!

It's a great release. I guess it's one of those which helps you understand why the soundtrack album is like it is though, as listening to the whole thing does mean the All The Time melody appears a lot, to the extent it can outstay its welcome! :D

Artistic merit aside, I honestly never much cared for the song before, but I’ve found myself enjoying the film version a lot. The guitar’s a relatively small difference (I never even noticed there was a difference when watching the film!) but it adds a lot to the song imo.

Oh, indeed. Of course, there are a couple of memorable guitar fills on the album version, but having the guitar play throughout the song, almost conversing with Louis' vocal, really does add some magic.

And I'm glad they didn't go with the "Unused Film Version": though it is interesting to listen to, the difference in tempo really makes it drag for me. We have enough slow instrumental versions of this song in the film as it is!
