Indeed, it only would have taken a package of some weight coming on top of the envelope at some point during transport, and the jewel case could easily have been damaged. Really sloppy by the 007 Store.

On topic again, I can't get over how good of a score OHMSS is. I've only listened to a few tracks from this release so far, but that's enough to remind me how top of his game John Barry was by this point. It's so rich and atmospheric!

I haven't gotten mine yet I guess it says August so I did order mine on like July 3rd some delay. Hopefully it's worth the wait.

Just received my 2 CD set today, and I'm loving it so far. Great work by Neil!

I was surprised by the poor packaging by the 007 Store, which was only a thin cardboard envelope and the least amount of bubble wrap possible, which wasn't even wrapped properly around the jewel case. I've had similar items delivered from abroad in similar packaging, and they have all been damaged to some extent.

How were the CDs packaged for those of you who ordered directly from LLL? If they were more securely packaged, then that's another reason to order directly from LLL.

My package from LL Records came in a well-padded mailer.

... and as everyone has already noted "Prelude for Guitar And Strings" is absolutely stunning.

[Does anyone object if I post yet more screencaps from OHMSS?
    ... didn't think so. ] :x

For people living in France or the rest of the Europe, you can also try your hand at Musicbox, which has the album for €46 plus shipping (they're currently out of stock, but more copies are reportedly coming).
I got mine from there, and it sounds amazing. Neil paid justice to this score, which I regard as the best work by John Barry (or anybody else) on the franchise. The detail is stunning and the mastering is a top job.

Agree! Flipped through the booklet yesterday, and really like the selection of photos they've picked for the liner notes.

That and “Eight” are two of the absolute highlights for me, despite the fact only a brief snippet of each actually appears in the movie.

Yeah, even though MR was probably the biggest upgrade in terms of sound quality, this is the one where I've really noticed it the most. It sounds gorgeous.
How amazing is it to hear Grand Christmas Eve Ball in full and perfect quality for the first time too? I didn't realise how I wanted it until now! :D

I've never paid much attention to Grand Christmas Eve Ball when watching the film, but I'm surprised how enjoyable it was listening to the full track on the CD. I just know I'm going to play this track and Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Grown? over and over leading up to Christmas! :))

Should I get moonraker next or license to kill? the original license to kill score was lackluster @mtm

I would say Moonraker every time, if you're a fan of Barry it's an absolutely brilliant score and fantastic release from LLL. LTK is good, but MR is the best of any of these LLL Bond scores so far, I'd say.

Licence was in greater need of expanding but I’m with mtm - Moonraker might just be the best of these releases, not necessarily in terms of the score itself, but in terms of having perhaps the most fascinating bonus material.

So either one moonraker then license to kill or vice versa 🤔 doesn't matter the next 2 I should get.

You can’t go wrong with either of them tbh (or indeed any of them), so maybe just go for the score that you like the most!

Damn. I really need to hear this Prelude for Guitar And Strings. I've just noticed that this track is not on the previously released 2003 expanded version of OHMSS. Being a whole 3:20 mins in length, it's quite tempting to splash the cash on. Decisions, decisions...

The 007 Store shipped mine today. Hopefully it won't take long to arrive!

Unfortunately for me la la still has me on awaiting shipment, probably due to the fact I ordered mi final reckoning at the same time, so haven't seen the booklet, or read here about the two 'deep hypnosis' tracks whether disc 2 is film version or not?

Hope you will receive both soundtracks very soon, @morcarvic! This reminds me that I am yet to watch Dead Reckoning and The Final Reckoning. Must do that soon.

Just got mine today, listening to wedding ring I find this track a little at odds with its film tracked counterpart as sounds more like an alternate take of Tracy's death .

Received mine yesterday along with the LTK expanded score. I felt bad for my roommate since he had to listen to me blasting the music from both soundtracks all night!

I guess because the scene dialogue suggests she [a] try to safe in her card gambling and try to stay alive,At least thats the inference i've always felt about it.

will you be TRYing to figure out FRWL as a future project ala goldfinger mattjoes, since that seems unlikely for the la la land treatment?

Is it just me or is there a shadow of human voice whooping deep down in the mix of grand Christmas ball? during the opening oompah section.

Now that would be a good score to do or goldeneye some those could be expanded same with casino. So many good ones they can retool and flesh out.
