Considering the closeness of Felix Leiter and Bond's relationship (something that's impossible to be obtained for a short time working together), I'm hoping we could see Felix Leiter show up in this game, maybe as a guest in the game?
Since this is about how Bond got into the program and finally becoming a 00 agent, maybe show the history of how he and Felix met?

I don't think we'll see Felix in this one. This one will be all about MI6 and the new/old (?) 00 section. I don't think they'll also throw the Americans on top of that.

Yeah, seems like a bit much at once to have Bond get to know all the MI6 crew as well as Felix on top. IOI said something along the lines of wanting to make this the first of a trilogy (Second Light; Third Light...?), so his introduction could certainly be on the cards in time.

2024 Triumph TF 250-X. Triumph's first production 250F motocross model.

A few extra covers over the engine in the game version. Black with yellow striping reminds of this:

I think giving him Dalton’s face (which does look great) tends to highlight how young he sounds.

    Yes, absolutely…

I do like Bond having sharper features. It's funny seeing a version of Dalton that charismatic and at ease though!

I think it's one of these things where there's a logic in terms of what they've done. Bond has to look young in this, but still have traces of that classic Bond mould. I actually think they've done a great job and I've come round to the design.

I guess one thing the Dalton face highlights is that they've maybe made him a bit too unrealistically broad-shouldered and manly- I'm not sure any humans have quite those proportions! :D The Indy design in Great Circle is of a realistic man, for example- this guy is maybe a touch too cartoonish.
Like yourself though, I'm coming around to the whole thing. A young Bond who's a bit more modern; I think it's probably what's needed.

Is there anything in particular that makes him more modern to you?

He uses phrases like 'sick' and tells Penny she's 'well fit'.

I've been tracking the steam wishlist numbers as I know IO has bonus outfits and other goodies tied to wishlist numbers.

Currently at 214. It started at about 273 so it has made good ground, on Steam at least.

Here is the link if you want to track it yourself: https://steamdb.info/app/3768760/charts/

"Bro this dude is totally sus." In a British accent it will sound cool! Lets hope they give him a modern take with his language. The last thing we want is a well educated white dude roaming around acting like he's intellectually superior.

How many deepfakes do we need? 😅 Next time we would be seeing a Lazenby deepfake version of the game (OHMSS theme playing in the background is giving the hint).

True, and I've seen much better deepfakes elsewhere. Looking forward to some First Light fan posters though.

"We're very comfortable building a lot of different locations with social gameplay," Elverdam tells Newsweek. "And completing your missions without shooting. And so a big part of that [pitch] was actually just showing how Hitman plays as everything but a shooter - a very creative, stealth-action/spycraft game."

I know the trailer had a lot of shooting and explosions, but it still sounds like they had to get initially around *somebody* who didn't want too much shooting at first, which seems to be a theme with Bond game reports. So stupid.

I don’t want too much shooting. Bond shouldn’t be killing hundreds of people.

I'm starting to think somebody went too far, as in no multiplayer so kids don't shoot their friends etc. That's ridiculously naive to me. I don't mean Bond shoots up an airport of civilians, obviously, don't be daft. But I'm starting to think some higher ups would have a problem with an assassin sniping someone. That's stupid!
  • I’m not concerned at all, there’s a ton of shooting in the trailer.

It might be more Metal Gear sneaky movements. I'm sure there's GTA missions where you have to withhold from shooting. I reckon it'll be a cool game.

Again I'm just highlighting a specific comment from the boss behind the game, which makes it seem like they were INITIALLY trying to avoid shooting for some SPECIFIC reason. The actual game seems to have gotten past whatever weird initial concern there may have been. We also don't know if there's a in-game penalty mechanic for that trailer shot of Bond blowing people up with an assault rifle.

Why do you think that? As Dewi says, it's pretty clear he will be shooting and killing people.
See the recent Indy game: the problem is that the more realistic and movie-like these things get, the more ridiculous it seems to be mowing down literally hundreds of bad guys.
  • I think it’s not that they were trying to avoid shooting, it was to show that they could make a Bond game that’s not solely based around shooting. I think we can all agree that as fun as some of the past Bond games have been, being first person shooters they don’t really present a very well rounded “Bond experience”. Hitman showed that they could do all the other elements that are core to the Bond experience, and make something more well-rounded, cinematic, and true to the character.

Yeah that's very true, I love GoldenEye as much as the next person, but it doesn't make me feel much like James Bond.

I expect the gameplay will be similar to Hitman: Absolution, which was a more linear Hitman game but mixed with "classic" Hitman sandbox style missions. Shooting is usually not the way to go with Hitman, but is still very much a part of the DNA. The marketing in the first trailer for First Light seems to suggest that the choice is very much yours - as it is for Hitman. I think that's a good approach for a Bond game. Aim for stealth but if the plan goes awry, you might have to shoot your way out. That choice is precisely what makes Hitman so immensely enjoyable and replayable.

I do think it was overkill in the glory days of Bond video games where "good" players couldn't play against one another. That seemed to start with The World Is Not Enough on Nintendo 64 and continued on.

I just watched it again in 0.5 speed. There's three parts where he's doing a lot of kicking, punching, hip throwing etc. Damn it could be a variety of game mechanics all in one experience, and with Bond music playing as your soundtrack! I really want to see the motocross bike in action hell yes.

I've only recently got a PS5: is Hitman Worlds of Assassination worth a punt? Or is it Hitman 3, I don't quite understand which is which.
