I could see them adding VR to it since they did with the latest Hitman game.

What's going on here? To the left of the sword: four wine bottles floating through the geometry. Could it be a clue?

Looks like an underground wine cellar and they are laying upside down on some wooden holders attached to the cave wall.

What should also be of interest is that Hitman has been a 10 year trilogy vision of games from IOI. Constantly updated, user led, there's all sorts of contracts and challenges. It's more a platform then a game.

If they're taking this approach to Bond the possibilities for maps, special challenges, contract kills within the maps etc are endless. Hitman is still updated, and not in the usual live service way, it's very gamer focused and community led.

This video does a decent job of explaining what the developers have done.

I imagine it could have been a rendering error or that scene wasn't fully completed yet. It's kind of like how in the early footage for 007 Legends OHMSS levels, Bond's model was still in the Goldfinger outfit and Blofeld's chopper was a Drax helicopter.

That's likely it. Maybe they just forgot to hide them when rendering.

The trail that they’ll have the real new actors inserted into the game once the marketing for the film gets going is getting hotter and hotter. That’s the type of stuff IOI do, so this game may be a backdoor into a kind of game version of whoever the new film cast will be.

I wouldn't get your hopes up once the Amazon Bond is cast. They're not going to change the IOI model mid-franchise bc of the movies.

Does anyone else think the plot of the game is similar to the original idea for TLD?

It being a reboot/origin story, Bond being plucked out of the Navy by M, Bond having a mentor and being a younger character than audiences would expect, I think he was meant to be mid 20's in the script.

I'm sure in that script Bond tells somebody that he is at a loss because "he has no war to fight" which I guess is similar to "a bullet without a target"

Given the similarities, perhaps EON showed IO a draft of the original script to give them some ideas for a story outline?

To my mind there are more echoes of GE than to TLD or the re-boot of Bond that Cubby hated. I do not see EON showing them old un-used scripts because I think that would open it up for others to sue based on taking the idea and using it for something else.

I think the idea of a younger Bond is one that's been floated around a while anyway. They even considered doing it for CR at one point. I guess it's a pretty natural creative route to potentially go in, although they seemingly weren't keen on it for the films. Glad it's found life in a slightly different medium.

Yes, I’m glad as well, specially because that strongly indicates they won’t repeat that choice of narrative for the next iteration. I’d rather have my Bond seasoned, please. But not with that unceasingly tired questoning of his relevance.

I’ve seen the trailer now enough times to understand that my hype derived mainly of having something new. And because they respected some tropes and went back to some details from the novels. Truth is, yes, this Bond looks and sound too american for my liking, too smug as well. Stylish and smug don’t often go together. But hey, it’s a game.

Still, didn’t shoot my hopes down. Quite the contrary. Can’t wait for news from the film front.

Does anyone here think IOI kinda took or drawn some inspiration from the James Bond Origin Dynamite Comics? Because from the looks of the trailer, I think both the game and the Origin Dynamite Comics have some similarities, they've even gave Bond a scar.

Kindly take a look at this:
