To be honest, I've been watching the trailer for the umpteenth time now 😅, there are references from the films as well.
Just one hope and question, as someone who have never played any Bond Game before (sorry for that word 😞, a bad revelation, I know), are any of them free to play? I'd liked to try and play even one Bond Game, I'm also excited to play this one, as if my memory serves, they're all just for consoles. 😥
Not even the Bond mobile game (Cypher) I could play with (available on Apple, I'm using Android).
    Thank you 🙂
@SIS_HQ I got a GoldenEye 64 emulator and been playing it on my computer for years. Graphics are as crisp as the recent remaster. If you're interested in that game, I can try and send it to you and you can install it on your computer.

Thank you so much @QBranch 😊

Edit: I'm excited as this is my first time 🙂

I'm glad someone said it, a younger, rookie Bond in a post-kingsman world does feel a bit derivative. But I actually really LOVE the casting of M, inclusivity done right IMO. I hope that lady returns after her small part in Bond 25.

By that logic, what isn’t derivative?

It plays a little wonky on a mouse/keyboard, but Project64 is an N64 emulator you can download on PC and then get a ROM of GoldenEye to play with emulated HD graphics. I discourage piracy normally, but we're talking about a 28 year-old game on 30 year-old hardware that runs on bulky plastic cartridges. I imagine getting your hands on a copy of GE, nevermind getting it to run on a modern TV, is an absolute pain in the ass.

I like how in Calvin's video he claimed that the new Q looks like he could've been a suave charmer spy thirty years ago. Although M looks more like Gia Sandhu to me rather than Priyanga Burford.

I don’t think it’s either of them to be honest; Sandhu’s too young and it just doesn’t look like Burford.

They could have aged her up, they have the technology. Bond doesn't look 100% like Gibson either.

I agree it's not either. Sandhu is the closest I can think of though. I do think that if M, Moneypenny and Q were based directly off an actor we would know by now.

I didn't know deepfake could do faces in profile that well now. Doesn't like upside down though! :D

Q really looks like a made-up face to me, yeah; maybe I'll be proven wrong.

If the featured Bond in The First Light is Pierce Brosnan, it makes sense, considering that almost all of the Bond games featured him and started with his era.

That sound you hear is me running to the B26 Title thread to suggest that.

Did I hear correctly that there will be underwater action? Looking forward to cutting frogman air hoses and seeing a flipper ascend to the surface in slow motion.

It actually started with Roger Moore.

There’s a shot in the trailer of Bond and I assume the female lead swimming underwater in scuba gear holding onto some sort of propulsion devices. I’m hoping that means there will indeed be some sort of playable underwater infiltration.

Speaking of underwater action, we need scuba action in Bond 26. It's been a while.

Just announced: Mads Mikkelsen is reprising the role of Le Chiffre in “Hitman: World of Assassination” in a special event beginning today!

This is one of my favourite Celebrity Elusive Targets they've ever done (and it's available in the Arcade Mode as well for those who miss it). If you play the cinematic "Mission Story" during it, it does a fine job at recreating moments from the film but through 47's eyes. I had a blast. Definitely worth playing through a few times to catch all the various bits of dialogue and film references.

There's even a certain, signature obtainable weapon that can be used against Le Chiffre.

Having Mads there is a blast. James Bond is in safe hands with IO Interactive. Maybe they can get Sean Bean back (who voiced a target previously) and give us some more Bond villains. The possibilities seem endless now, and seeing the Paris map redone as a casino was inspired. I love when they change up the maps.

Apparently playing through this target in Hitman will grant some unlocks later on for First Light.

A swim with barracudas, yes. That'd be lovely. And a bit of skiing wouldn't hurt either.

Yes...and another epic ski scene is also needed.
  • I listened to some of the interviews with the developer and they’ve said a lot of things that make me confident this will be pretty good.

For one they said they took a lot of inspiration from Bond in the books and with this game want to show not just how he gets the 007 number but how he becomes the colder character we know. So for people who might have thought he seems too youthful and happy go lucky I think it’s reassuring that that’s a conscious decision and we’ll see get to see how entering the murky world of espionage ends up hardening him. I think that’s a pretty good framework for the story.

Should have replaced his voice too. That'd be a nice touch.

Makes sense now, his last mission was in Iceland.
