The 15th is acting in a way no other Doctor would, in the past the Doctor would try to save even his worst enemies. The 15th is very quick to condem and have zero remorse.

When the main antagonist in episode one of this series no longer existed the 15th Doctor was gleeful, did a high kick and shouted Queen. In the past the Doctor tried to save the Master and the Daleks to name a few despite them committing terrible atrocities.

If it were possible for my eyes to vomit after reading that, they would.

I have some spare unopened eye washes I use for hayfever. I wish I was joking about that scene.

In The Lucky Day that aired last night the Doctor also made zero effort to try to reason with the antagonist of the story. Admittedly other than Ruby the rest of the main characters were doing questionable things.

The Story and the Engine had potential though the writing is a muddled mess.

The Doctor is actually trying to save people which is rare for this era so I will give them that.

He was a murderer and betrayed the Doctor’s best friend; Pertwee disintegrated Ogrons for less. Letting the guy stay in prison is hardly evil- bear in mind the Doctor wasn’t actually there, how was he supposed to reason with him? You’ll have no answer. I didn’t love that ep but I thought it was a rather excellent take on internet liars, the kind which can’t be reasoned with, ironically.
There’s some weird false equivalences going on here.

I think this series has been very strong so far, not the best but no bad ones. No idea what you mean about a high kick.

I am happy you think this series has been very strong so far, it's clearly a roaring success.

For UK fans of Doctor Who the channel U&Eden are showing episodes of the Pertwee era.

Been enjoying the series thus far - I wouldn't say the bar is low at all, as stated up thread. I kinda wish they'd give this Doctor some weird little quirk (Jodie didn't get that either did she?), and I'm hoping he finds a signature outfit, maybe lean into one of the brown jackets a bit more. Ncuti wears a lot of orange and brown here and maybe that's what they're going for in terms of an iconic look to remember him by. Enjoying Unleashed too - it's all on YouTube.

    Current ranking:

    1. The Well
    2. Lux
    3. Lucky Day
    4. The Robot Revolution
    5. Joy to the World

The Well was good and for Millie Gibson's acting Lucky Day was elevated.

And Colin did quite a few murders as well : "Vengeance on Varos" (two guards plunged in acid), "The Two Doctors" (one villain poisoned with cyanide), "Terror fo the Vervoids" (the whole Vervoid race made to suffer "autumn). Not to mention what McCoy did to Skaro in "Remembrance of the Daleks". Some incarnations of the Doctor have been quite bloodthirsty.
