I'd agree, assuming his henchmen looked like Droods. Bowler hats, noses, the whole bit.

Would be an interesting nod, but the word is "droog".

Been a loooooong time since seeing it. Apologies. Glad you knew what I meant

Matthias Schoenaerts or Michael McElhatton could play Putin.

I'd like to see more henchmen with noses in general. I hope we never get a henchman without a nose.

After He Who Shall Not be Named, I guess nose-less villains are done.

You mean Voldemort? That was a great char--

Lance Reddick is so darn likeable it would make it interesting. Or, of course, for one of the good guys, maybe a recurring role.

Lance Reddick is a great actor, he's got charisma, an amazing voice, often played leaders and he's still not too famous. On top of thar, if I'm not mistaken the first movie he watched in cinema was LALD.
  • Rainn Wilson...in fact, he reminds me of the new Q. Perhaps he and the new Q could be enemies over a stolen patent. On top of that, the tone of the film can have a horror-thriller value to it. Rainn Wilson would be a good name to help counterbalance the next actor that plays Bond similar to Telly Savalas with GL.

    What about Giancarlo Esposito?

He is marvelous and quietly sinister as Gustavo Fring in "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul".

Could he play it different or would he suffer from comparisons as Gus?

I think he would be wonderful and I'm sure he could pull it off.

Most of the British actors they're saying could potentially be the next Bond, would be better suited as Bond villain's I think

For the villain I'd like the megalomaniac guy to return. On my list would be Sam Rockwell, Ken Watanabe and Daniel Kaluuya. If SPECTRE returns then Mark Strong for Blofeld. And if it's a woman for villain then Cate Blanchett or Charlize Theron.

I like the villain not to be too famous. It’s much better for suspension of disbelief, that goes for most of the cast.

But then there is the social media marketing aspect of the industry today of course.

From "Skyfall" onwards, both the production and the actors are using prestigious personnel, famous for their work and also recognized by some awards.

Unfortunately not to the benefit of the films.

With the actors not yet, but with the production team we have had some award nominations (BAFTA, Golden Globe, The Academy, etc)....fortunately for the benefit of the films.

Actors aside, there's quite a few politicians and leading figures on the international stage who'd fit the bill perfectly.

Reading his biography, I always thought that Ian Fleming would have loved Robert Maxwell's back story and spotted the potential for a version of him to be included in a Bond novel.

One person that springs to mind is Anthony Starr. He's absolutely magnificent as Homelander on the show, The Boys. Even as himself, he sometimes comes across as unintentionally unsettling. With Amazon now in the picture this could be a very feasible casting choice as The Boys is an Amazon show.

He reminds me of Timothy Dalton in a way. Similar facial expressions.

Ian Mcdiarmid (Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars). I wish he would have had a bigger movie career. He however, has openly said he prefers doing stage acting.

In another thread i sugest him as younger version of Waltz Ernst Stavro Blofeld. For a short scene in Bond 26 or crossover movie ''Ernst Stavro''.

He doesn't look at all like Q. That said, I always loved the idea of Q and Q Branch having an opposite number in the villain's organisation (such as Spectre). Have an evil geek come up with poisons, blades in the shoes, watches with hidden garrot etc.

Aging Sam Riley ought to be one of the most sought after character actors going forward. I love his voice.

For those who've read With A Mind To Kill, I'd cast Paul Bettany in the role of Colonel Boris.

I like your choices. Gary Oldman or Steve Buscemi as Blofeld and Russell Crowe as Goldfinger.

Hugh Jackman, mix it up for him and finally bring him into the Bond family.
    Lucy Liu.
    Gael García Bernal.
    Diane Kruger.
And hell why not Daniel Bruhl.
    Harry Shum Jr.
