Theoretically when the podcast resumes (late August? early Sept?) we should get more Zimmer music in the background of the conversations.

I'm wondering if we'll get the podcasts at all. I think they have spent their marketing budget already. DC has said he'll do a lot of personal appearances to promote the film. I think if the end of lockdown goes well in key markets from now I think the film's promotion before release will be short and sharp and I think they will bring the release date forward. Imagine the money it would make with no competition in the cinemas? I am wondering if we'll get an August release as life returns to normal between now and mid-July.

I really wish they’d just release a snippet of a triumphant version of the NTTD theme song. I’d imagine the theme will be incorporated into the movie’s score.

Be interesting to see at what point in the movie this happens. As Craig's run of bond films are often subdued. And supposedly this one more emotional and serious than most. I suppose with phoebe Waller bridge there is going to be a good sprinkle of humour. & maybe with that we'll get a good sprinkle of music that celebrates bond being bad ass. I'd love to know what
    "square escape"
sounds like because in the trailer with the
Aston Martin's machine guns and smoke screen escape
is edited and scored a certain way.

The podcasts are already recorded, so there’s no extra cost to releasing them.

I too have been pondering if they will bring the date forward, good US and European performances of Fast 9 and Black Widow may encourage that, but I get the impression they want to go BIG on the launch and that may mean September/Oct is more suitable.

I would bet the NTTD Eilish theme is the Bond/Madeline love theme for the film.

I can't wait to hear Safin's theme, coz Zimmer is also known for creating memorable themes for villians. Till date I still enjoy Travolta's Major Deakins' guitar-infested theme he created for Broken Arrow(1996).

I didn't realize it before: his slacks are cuffed. Interesting. So I went back and looked: turns out that many of DC's suits have had cuffed slacks. Mexico City in SP. PTS and Rooftop in SF. Brown suit in QoS. And here, I always thought cuffs were a no-no on suits. I should have been paying more attention.

I think they look daft. Like his trousers are too long so they have to be turned up.

Yes, this is amazing! I hope this is used during the car chase, or when Bond is storming Safin’s lair.

Sure. Big fan. Right from his collaborations with Chow Yun-fat to Affleck's Paycheck. But I wasn't hurt when I read he turned down Goldeneye. I guess he knew his style might have been too music video-esque for Bond.
  • yeah, I forgot he did "Paycheck" wow not sure I heard that before about Goldeneye. That would have been pretty mad. I imagine like a face off (no pun intended) between 006 and bond having that moment in a lot of his films where the camera has them both in a stylish two shot, and doves flying about.

from a totally blind guess how do you think "No time to die" is going to fair in your rankings of all the bond films, lets say after you've had plenty of time to watch and rewatch it?

Yeah. Woo was just too ultra-stylish for Bond with the doves and Mexican standoffs.

Yeah, like most fans here, I expect it to be one of Craig's best, with great rewatch value. Although, I still regard CR as his best.

"Casino Royale" is pretty brilliant. will be interesting to see how it compares to the others and for me especially "Casino Royale" because I think Martin Campbell & Cary Fukunaga are two different directors with different approaches, Martin seems very intense "sharp as a knife" where as Cary appears almost meditative. I get the feeling though they both have a very clear vision for bond.

Exactly. Craig starts with Campbell and finishes with Cary.

With the mention of NTTD clothing, I've been collecting the tactical gear, and those of you with an interest in this may be aware of the Carbon Tactics buckles which feature on Bond and Nomi's commando outfits.

A while back, I identified a different brand buckle that Nomi wears in Cuba - the two she wears either side with red latches. It finally arrived today, and it's a cool looking buckle:

alongside the Carbon Tactics Epoch buckle which features on both Bond and Nomi's leg holster:

Do you have a clearer picture of Nomi's MP7?

I posted a pic of it on the 'Your PPK' thread last year. I'll repost a pic of it here when I get home if you can't find it. I should mention it is my toy, and not the genuine prop.

Found these two from the London-shoot. Never seen them before. Must be in June 2019. Don't know anything about the building/location.

Any ideas what kind of scenes they were shooting, based on the location??

Could be used as the facade to Q's place, maybe? At least that's what I think

They're shooting interiors rather than exteriors there though, and the rooms inside are very ornate and grand.

This is from TENET, from August 26th. I know because I was there on this day and I also thought it was for Bond. lol

PS: You can see the SHIPLEY's sign outside the building.

Could it be MI6 HQ lobby or something like that?
