@matt_u, you're absolutely right, the colour palette of the outfits is similar, but that's about it. The outfits are very very different from the SP ones. Bond is now wearing a suit or at least a blazer. I can't see the tie in the DB5 film, but it's definitely the same jacket and shirt. Can't understand why some people are convinced the outfits are the same. Clearly Jany Temime is wrong. She should take the similarity in palette colours as a compliment, sure, but nothing else.

Also, the cemetery is clearly in close proximity to the bridge, too close for it to be a coincidence. Also, as anyone heard from the guy that took the photos? About who's photo that is?

PS: I'm still hoping that awful burgundy tie with the windsor knot was a decoy and it's not in those scenes. A bege suit with a blue shirt is cool. Cool enough.

    https://ibb.co/frRFvP7

In her defense she’s old and same colors LOL.

Although.. Stunt workers tend to wear similar outfits but looser or comfortable to help them perform stunt scenes better.

Also most of the Bond brands are $500 - $1,000 price range. So for some wide shots who can tell what they are wearing in the car chase?

I’m sure there’s been several times where the stunt actors wore similar outfits but not the actual ones.

The stunt driver has to be comfortable when he’s performing stunts. Notice he’s wearing shorts? Bond definitely isn’t rocking the shorts in the final cut.

Because he's a stunt driver. No one will ever see his shorts while driving fast. Come on. The jacket he wears is the same the other stunt had in the bridge scene, period.

But now that we know which days the church will be closed, those are the days to be there i guess. I have a feeling i will see a lot of crazy fanboys like me there..

Don't get too excited but I remember Sassilive reporting that a dialogue scene involving Bond will take place in that church. So Craig's presence sounds likely...

I think they will be shooting the wedding there, for which they will obviously need Craig, why else would you close the church for 4 days? Sure i'm excited about that prospect but we'll see what happens.

But since they close the church tomorrow as well for the second unit, we might get a hint of what they will be shooting there in September.

The wedding is supposed to take place at the beach location of Marina di Pisticci, based on Sassilive, but we'll see.

Yeah, I'm following that thought. At the same time, it's a bit strange to repeat those outfits, yes? I mean, they weren't in the last scene of Spectre, so it's not a 'direct continuation' of that last shot. I don't really see the thematic need for them to do it.

But I think it's fair to give them (and Jany) the benefit of the doubt. We'll no for sure in September, when Craig and Seydoux actually show up, and we'll see if it's Tom Ford or Cucinelli, which is what Bond wears in that SP scene. We'll find out soon enough.

They just told me a blonde kid perfectly fluent in English has been cast in Matera.

Don't know what that means, but 0 chances he's goin to play Bond as a kid like this guy believes. I remember someone mentioning that in Matera there will be some scenes involving kids.

Better late, than never. And yes, odds are that they are connected, judging from the framing on that picture. Let's go with that theory.

I'm an italian architect. I was sarcastic. Pretending that thing could fit into the Roman archi-landscape was blasphemy.

I have no problem admitting I was wrong! Personally I LOVE the matchless jacket.. When the official costume designer tells you that’s her outfit she designed you tend to believe her over fans speculating.

Obviously we got the clear images of the driver wear a suit jacket, blue dress shirt and shorts. So she was wrong.

The outfit does look very similar to the Spectre style. Same color style.

Look at Bond’s apartment in Skyfall. He really doesn’t own much.. I mean who knows until we see Craig and Lea onset.

I just know from experience our stunt actors wore similar looking outfits for stunts that were seen from a distance because the costumes were expensive. Didn’t want them to get destroyed.

Now this is a Bond film with a budget over $100M+ so that’s different. Just fun speculating!

In other news... Has Daniel Craig actually been on any other sets besides Jamaica and pinewood?

Malek claims he shot scenes in Norway but was never actually spotted on set. His stunt double was but that’s it.

    So far...

    Norway Snow- No craig

    Car chase bridge- No craig

    Norway castle- No craig

    Forest chase - No craig

Italy- No craig yet but most likely will show up to film within the next couple of weeks with Lea.

I’d imagine a lot of these scenes are being recreated on pinewood sets so he has potentially filmed a lot in the studio but not on location?

    Better make that $200M+.

Like Mendes said, is at Pinewood where budget dies.

Malek saying that "we have been shooting in Norway" doesn't mean that he was actually there. And yes... like SF, Craig's shooting schedule is 90% Pinewood.

    Very true.

    Plus recreating the sets.

They recreated CUBA, Norway/ice + water tank. I’m sure they recreated the castle from Scotland/Norway also.

I was in a civil war action scene and I believe the 10 minute scene cost around $5,000. Costumes, set and weapons. That’s just professional outdoor theater.

It’s definitely A LOT cheaper to have the A-list actors stay in London for 3-4 months and shoot their scenes at a studio. Stunt double vs Craig flying out to different parts of the world is a huge pay difference lol.

Commercially you often want the leads there to create headlines and a buzz. But what's the point of having Craig there, when he isn't needed? Craig is not a stunt driver.
I don't mind CGI face replacement as long as they do a better job than in SF. If not, I'd rather have a look-a-like, like the good old days.

The issue I have always had is the overuse of doubling one place for another, London for China for example. Luckily Matera is Matera in NTD.

I hope there's some ingenuity in the setpieces. Every Bond movie has them, whether being a small plane chasing after cars on a snowy ground or a fist fight on top of a crane.

So far we know of two car chases, an exploding boat and some sort of shoot out on the Cuba set in Pinewood.

And what about gadgets? This Q we have now? Can he deliver more than cars and watches?

I happened to be on a camping trip in the Laggan area over the weekend were the Scottish Norway filming was. Saw a couple of unusual planes as it started to get dark on Saturday night, but not necessarily linked to filming. The location signs for the crew still seem to be there, so there may still be filming on the estate away from public view.
