Thanks for the nice feedback everyone.
It is one of those places you should visit at least once in your lifetime in my opinion.
I always called it the Bond Mekka, and i doubled down on that since i've been there.
My favorite aspect of Piz Gloria was that i really felt at home as a Bond nerd. They wave the Bond flag so proudly over there, that you can unleash your inner Bond nerd there and not feel weird about it haha.

    Count me in for sure!!!!!!!

Great photos, congratulations! I love that Lazenby plate...

Good luck in Estoril. Hotel Palacio awaits you... https://www.palacioestorilhotel.com/pt/hotel/James Bond

    José Diogo is still there:

Hey @ggl007 Would you mind not posting photos of mine and not crediting it to me? That photo is from my instagram and is from my trip to Estoril last year, where I met Jose and he gave me that autograph. Thanks.

    Sorry, @mybudgetbond

It wasn't my intention not to quote you. I found the photo online. All the credit (and the merit) is yours, of course. I apologize.

Not sure where to put this but since it's somewhat related to this topic, i might as well Post it here (and I love this thread).

I have lived for the last 5 years in Hamburg (i remember how proud i was back then to move to a 'Bond city') but all good things must come to an end, or rather we need to start looking for new adventures and so i decided to move to Vienna. I fell in love with that City when I first traveled there a couple years back, and decided that Vienna has exactly the level of class and sophistication that i'm looking for in my mid 30's. Bond definitly helped alot in making that decision, not just TLD, but there were many more reasons, like my Grandmother being originally from Vienna as well.

Long story short i will soon start posting lots of pictures from TLD but also many other locations around Austria, that were used in the Bond films, the new 007 elements, or places that are related to Fleming himself, that i think a lot of people are not even aware of. Also i am always open to suggestions and requests. :D

Now that i am relocating to South Europe i definitly want to explore that area more, the Alps, north Italy etc. etc... Lots of Bond stuff :)

Looking forward to it - and how excellent that you're moving from one 'Bond city' to another!

I'm more interested to know how you organise that work-wise.. I'd love to move to another country, but it's quite the undertaking (have to get wife and child to tag along)..

Sounds very exciting @00Agent! I sometimes dream about moving to nothern Italy (lot's of Bond locations there indeed), and since I'm on my own at the moment and have an occupation that wouldn't make it too difficult to find work - this would be a good time probably. But... I don't have the guts to do it. And also friends and family are a consideration.

    Looking forward to your pictures!

I’m currently en route to Piz Gloria for the OHMSS50 event. Can’t wait!! I’m very giddy about this.

It was not an easy decision, that's for sure. But i thought about it for at least 2 years, and it got to a point where living in Hamburg was unbearable. The people, the atmosphere, everything felt so bland. I knew from traveling that there are so many better places to life in, and after my last job, that i started in December '18, turned out to be a disaster i though what the Heck. Before i start looking for another job in Hamburg, i might a well give Vienna a try.
That took longer than expected but it turned out fine so far.

As for friends and family, that was tough for sure, but i didn't have much family in Hamburg anyway as i only moved there after University and I am still connected to everybody 24/7 thanks to the internet.

As for friends, thankfully i discovered these great apps a couple month ago (they app anything these days) 'Internations' and 'Meetup', which are basically socialising and event meetups for expats and Singles looking for friends and stuff to do. I helped me a lot in Hamburg and will certainly help me more in Vienna.
All you need after that are some basic socialising skills :)
I like to think i went to the Brosnan school of charisma for 20+ years so i'm usually doing fine. :)

Got some pictures of the operahouse from TLD. Will upload them later.

True, Internations got me to meet my wife! It's a good way of meeting international people.

No, just the pictures in the window.
I will check some more locations in Vienna when I find some time. There are plenty.

Not a pilgrimage, but the airport featured in Live and Let Die, where Bond commandeers the plane with the student pilot , is located in my Fire District; I pass it frequently. Years later it was used extensively for Green Lantern, directed by Martin Campbell

Not a Bond location, but definitely a pilgrimage: the beach at Deauville, where they commemorate actors who have graced the town with their presence.

Like a suffragette, but campaigning for Dalton as Best Bond? It's a thought.

Ah, sorry, the 'suffer a jet movement' one. The worst pun ever, delivered with such panache!

Indeed, the one I posted it for. Personally I can't choose between any of the Lord Flasheart lines, but one does stand out:
    George: Oh my god!
FH: Yes I suppose I am!
