Damn I really wanted to see Luke or Han, but I guess that's why they call it a teaser!
Daisy Ridley is hot- did you notice her costume looks a LOT like the old 'Starkiller' c
    oncept drawings from the 70's?
Also that light saber- many people hate it, but I like how it sort of resembles an old midieval sword. Not only that though, did the blade itself seem to be pulsating and flame-like?

    Can't wait to see more!

Luke was in it! He was one of the first things you see after the "A JJ ABRAMS FILM" title

I WATCHED THE WRONG TRAILER. HOLY SHIT. NOOOOOOOO

after showering and washing my clothes ( :) )i must've watched this trailer at least 20 more times already... and i squee like a child with excitement every time that music hits.... i am glad they focused on 2 of the newcomers this time around - this will be their trilogy.... though i do agree that a glimpse of Han, or especially Luke would've looked awesome - but all in due time.......... what i loved the most?? - actually seeing real people, in real costumes, on real sets, in real locations! even the small ball droid looked practical....... all i can say, is that after a year of internet naysaying from a whole bunch of people - JJ, you have everyone one of us by the plums right now.
  • I dunno about you guys but I get chills when I hear the tie fighters fly by. So awesome! Loved the new xwings and that lightsaber was sweet.
  • That giant speeder bike Daisy Ridley was on got me thinking. This is supposed to be 'the future' in relation to the OT.... So why is that bike so big? I'm guessing the character gets stranded somewhere and builds it from scrap, proving her to be very resourceful

    What do you think?

Tatootine isn't very technological so it's probably an old model.

Those X-wings flying over that lake and the Falcon, brilliant starship porn of the kind that makes or brakes a movie. In this case AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwesome.

People are speculating who the dark figure with the red saber is. Many think it's Adam Driver or even Luke.

    BUT.

Is there a chance, I mean a chance that it's Gwendoline Christie?

Look at the way they both walk:
    tumblr_inline_nfrl3kdTxp1sa36b9.gif
and it's reasonable to assume the dark figure is the same 'grave robber' character that we saw concept art of recently. (BTW, a 'grave robber' would lend to the speculation that the lightsaber is really old)

Call me crazy, but the Grave Robber looks like it could be female.

My sister-in-law has wider shoulders than that guy.
  • Think I have watched the trailer twenty times, come to conclusion that if a could only watch one film next year. Right now it would be Star Wars, maybe down to watching the originals as a kid.

2015 just has too many potentially good movies coming out.
  • This is too funny:
Someone made a 'George Lucas Special Edition' for the new trailer

That pretty much sums up what's wrong with Lucas's tinkering.

    :))

The clothing looks like it´s stiffer aroud the shoulders. The walk on the other hand looks too heavy for a female.

From what I know of you, @Master_Dahark, I wouldn´t call you crazy, and if so, only a little bit, but the figure on that pic seems to have lost its nose and jaw, so it wouldn´t be far-fetched to assume it has also lost part of its upper lip, which in turn makes it hard to determine the gender. But that figure looks absolutely fantasmagoric, did I miss anything else by not reading Star Wars books and comics?

Actually I do actually enjoy the special editions as the original movie special effects were in its first trilogy miles apart when it comes to the level of quality. The improvements never did change the story it added visually to it, which I liked. (the same applies to the ST original series where they updated the effects and the result was brilliant) My only beef is that they took away the teddybears ending in "Return" and they added in the young Annakin instead of leaving the old chap which was perhaps how Annikan looked after all those years.

I like that the teaser really has that feel of Star Wars. Looks good. Although I expected this movie to come out over the summer rather than next December.

So... I'm taking a look at the IMDB discussions for this film and... It's controversial that they cast a black man a stormtrooper? Really? I don't get it. It's a black guy, he's a stormtrooper, so f*cking what? Why are people outraged over this? Just because he's not Temuera Morrison from twelve years ago? None of the stormtroopers in the original trilogy sounded the same, nor did any of them sound like Temura Morrison (even in the DVD releases, where Boba Fett did), so why do people still think the stormtroopers of the original trilogy are clones?

I've seen the trailer for "The Force Awakens" only once. I hope that J.J. Abrams does a better job with this film than he did with the two "Star Trek" movies. The latter two were absolutely crap to me. But I don't like the idea of using the stars of the original trilogy for some sentimental trip to the past. And judging from the X-wing fighter and presence of stormtroopers in the trailer, I fear that this movie is partly an attempt to recapture the past.

As for the first two trilogies, I am big fans of both.

Except for the "Greedo shot first" scene. Oh, and the one scene in "Empire..." which could have benefited from an improvement didn't get one (the Taun Taun entrance in the base on Hoth).

I couldn't care less whether Han or Greedo shot first. It's basically a moment for fans to drool over how "cool" it is.

And I had stop regarding Han Solo as "cool" a long time ago.
