Reminds me of this. ;-)

You're exactly right.

Peter Cushing could play anyone he wished, so I am on team @Samuel here. Though, the characters I would most enjoy seeing him take on would be Q, Dr. No, or Scaramanga (he would give Lee a run for his money).

When I picture Drew as Moneypenny, it is actually the age she is at now - I just like her with Pierce as Moneypenny. I also think she would have been more fun and better as Stacey, too, yes.

ANOTHER DOUBLE FEATURE!

9 - the lovely horror princess Danielle Harris

Karloff could put on some make-up (we know that, don't we? ;-)) and be a great Julius No. He was, however, 75 at that time. ;-) Another option: professor Dent? I'd love to see Karloff empty the six chambers of his S&W.

Danielle could have convinced me as Jinx (at age 25) or as Peaceful. Other than that, the hotel receptionist in CR perhaps?

I have no clue about Danielle as I don't watch horror films, except for the classics such as Boris's work.

But for the great Karloff, I would put him as Dr. No, definitely! (We are not going strictly by the actual ages, are we? That would make plenty of my choices impossible.)

1. Dr. No
2. Dr. Kaufman (TND) - ooh, he would be great in that role!
3. Blofeld in YOLT - why not? He can really play evil, ooze it, even in a quietly menacing way

- Karloff's age in relation to when the series started in 1962, does limit my choices. I know it's not a big role, but given Karloff's age, i'd cast him as Pleydell-Smith.

- For Danielle Harris, i'll pick Camille in QOS.

Danielle Harris:

Cigar Girl or Christmis Jones in Twine
Solange in CR or Severine in Skyfall

I know his age would be an issue, but Karloff could possibly have played Goldfinger in GF
Other than that I would say Dr.No as another possible, Professor Dent, or even Kisch in GF.

Danielle Harris, I'm not really familiar with her work.
I could see her as The Cigar girl in TWINE, maybe Christmas Jones. After that not really sure.

Karloff would make for a pretty awesome LeChifre if I do say so for myself.

Karloff would be a really spooky Mr. White (he looks a little like Jasper as well).

And for the lovely Danielle, maybe Christmas? Not really sure where she'd fit to be honest. Can't be worse than Denise, though. ;)
• If Karloff were bigger, I think he'd actually make a good Jaws. Maybe Morzeny or Krilencu? He has that great sinister eastern European look to him.

Karloff as Kronsteen could work, or even Professor Dent, or even Dr Kaufmann as someone stated. Not sure where I'd place the other one. Cigar Girl in TWINE possibly, as was mentioned

Ahh, but you can't beat Anthony Dawson. Fantastic, underrated actor.

And there's more where it came from.

Bill Murray could have been a great Carver IMO. I'd love to see him perform those karate moves. ;-)

Lovely Heather, oh my, could she do evil? I think she might be a good Onatopp.

Man, I love Bill Murray! And Heather still looks pretty good, doesn't she?

Bill:
1) Elliott Carver (funny, I thought of that before I read your choice, DarthDimi!)
2) Reverend whats-his-name from LTK (played by Wayne Newton)
3) Leiter, especially in LTD (but Murray would be an interesting Leiter any year!)
4) Jack Wade or
5) Valentin (can't beat Robbie Coltrane, but Murray's Valentin would be verrrry interesting)

Heather:
1) Mary Goodnight
2) Paris
3) LeChiffre's girlfriend

Actually, I'd like to see her as Paris most.

Heather is gorgeous. I envy Austin Powers.

- Bill Murray I can't stand, so i'd cast him in a role early on. Maybe as one of the scientists in the PTS of GoldenEye.

- As for the lovely Heather Graham, i'm thinking... Christmas Jones. Though to be honest, I wouldn't be against casting her in Bond #24.

Bill Murray, I could see as a possible Truman Lodge or maybe Krest. Or also he could play Jack Wade.

Heather Graham, maybe Paris Carver, though I think she may have looked to young. She was 26/27 at the time, so it is plausible. I'm going to go with the Major and say Christmas Jones would be a role for her. At a push possibly even Jinx in DAD.

Are we really trying to be realistic with the ages? If so, that changes much of my thinking.

It's more of a personal thing for me. I'm only casting them in films that they could conceivably appear in. Heather Graham was born in 1970, therefore it's implausible for her to actually appear in any Bond film before say GoldenEye. But that's just my way of doing it. Our good man Dimster gave no rules or boundaries for us to follow, so it is also possible to cast any of the above in any film if one wishes.
;)

OK, I wasn't. I was putting any actor into any film because I thought they would be good in the role.

Heather Graham: Valenka in Casino Royale or Corrine in QOS.

Bill Murray: R in Twine and Q in DAD.

I'm with @Benny. It's not part of the 'rules' but I tend to stick to it in order to make my choices realistic enough. ;-)

My Bond puritanism forbids an American Q.

Samuel could have been a great Falco I think. Had he been allowed some modest improvisation, just think of the level of awesome. ;-)

Tippi would have been my preferred Pussy. (Watch those comments: it's a capital P :P) She had the energy in those days, as well as the looks. Yes, she's got the look.
• Tarantino would have cast Samuel L. Jackson as Felix Leiter in his Casino Royale. That certainly would have been interesting. He could have made a good Falco or maybe even a less-comical Wade.

Tippi could have made a good Sylvia Trench.
