78 - Tom as another, younger agent, possibly to become an antagonist as the story progresses. In the actual Bonds, yeah, 006? Otherwise, maybe a younger Q, like Ben?

    79 - Natalie - lovely Natalie - Vesper?

    80 - Chris as Tanner?

Tom could've made a great 006, I think, but I would never replace Bean. Natalie would make one excellent Vesper, and it's a bit of a stretch, but going off his size, Chris as Stamper?
  • 78 - Like I said, 006.
79 - I'll go with the consensus, Natalie as Vesper. She could also have been an infinitely superior Christmas Jones.
80 - Hemsworth's the toughest one. Maybe Stamper, like Creasy said. I don't think he has the acting chops to pull of Grant himself.
  • Hiddleston - I'm completely against the idea of a young Q, but after Skyfall..

Portman - Vesper Lynd, Melina Havelock, I even went as far to suggest Bibi Dahl

Hemsworth - Didn't know where to place him. Maybe Necros or Elvis (at least have it right this time)

    Tom Hiddlestone could be 006!

Natalie Portman would make a VERY nice Sylvia Trench! :x

    Chris Hemsworth as Scaramanga!

Tom Hiddleston brings to mind the type of sleazy Bond villain that cowers behind his henchman while they do the dirty work. I'm thinking particularly General Koskov in TLD or Dominic Greene in QoS.

For Natalie Portman, Vesper Lynd immediately came to mind, like most people here. With the actress' brainier reputation and image, she should play a brainier Bond girl. Vesper, of course, qualifies. Christmas Jones, since her Harvard education may make her a little more believable as a ridiculously young nuclear physicist than Denise Richards (as I've said before, contrary to popular opinion Denise Richards/Christmas Jones is still one of my top 10 favorite Bond girls). Or as Miranda Frost in DAD.

Chris Hemsworth, despite his leading man status, strikes me more as a Bond ally. Saunders in TLD. Maybe even a Felix Leiter or a Jack Wade.

Natalie Portman as Liz Krest if they use THR. They need to change the name though due to LTK.

It's been a while so let's see what we can do here. ;-)

81 - Bogart, one of my all time favourite actors, unfortunately wasn't around any more when DN got made so supposing for a moment that he had still been alive then, I can only imagine him as Leiter. Had Bond been an American and had they started making the films in the early 1950s, Bogart would have been the perfect Bond.

82 - Audrey, what a beauty! She may be the loveliest actress that ever was in my book. And besides being beautiful and cute, she could actually act very well too. I can see her play a nice Pussy Galore or a Tatjana Romanova.

Have Thunderball come out a decade earlier than it did, and there's your Largo and Domino.

Nice to see the return of this thread.

I have not seem much from either. Might Bogie have been Letier, had the series started a decade earlier? As for Hepburn, Miss Moneypenny, perhaps?

Had Audrey been MP, I'm not sure Bond could have resisted. ;-)

    Bogart most definitely Leiter.
