I hated Whishaw in SF, because his character was written like he was an imbecile.
Having seen him in SP, I like him now. The actor is stealing the scenes really. I wish he would have had such great scenes in SF.

Ratings and reviews aside, Switzerland is thinking BIG for the next weekend.

Spectre occupies more or less ALL screens in the cinema complexes with other movies like The Martian, Last Witch Hunter, The Walk being banished to smaller screens or afternoon screenings.
Spectre rules prime-time in Switzerland this weekend!
I'm pretty sure it will shatter ticket sales records.

Apparently Rachel Weisz has threatened Daniel she'll divorce him, if he does another Bond film. The article also states that she's becoming frustrated that he seems to dress & act like him when out in the public, or at premiers, like the ones for SPECTRE.

You could add the plane from LALD as well. I think even in GoldenEye the
plane Bond is in loses its wing tips. :)

Is there a thread that contrasts the script to the final movie? Now that I've seen it, I'd like to see how it changed from the original treatments.

The Times TV interview was good, but the full TV hour Charlie Rose devoted tonight to a joint interview with Craig and Mendes was the best thing I've seen on SP to date. Craig came off well in the first 1/2 hour, but it was Mendes, interviewed alone for most of the last 1/2 hour that most impressed me, he was a great interview, smart, and very articulate. He made some comments about Bond's weakness in SF that I found pretty eye opening. It makes most of the reviews and SP press a lot of noise by comparison. The Charlierose.com and PBS.com links I just tried are not working yet. Hopefully soon, or someone can get a workable link to post. As noted, it's an hour, but really worth the time.

Good interview with Sam. Interesing to read again ow much damage the knee injury could have caused, if Daniel hadn't been so dedicated.

I hope I get to see that. I love long interviews, and I've previously watched long ones with Mendes and they've never felt long. Half an hour is nothing if a person has something interesting to say and can articulate it.

(I love David Poland's interviews - DP/30 on YT - for one because they are long...about 30 mins normally, and he lets people talk, and they feel like proper conversations... I also remember he did a good one with Mendes after SF.)
