I do wonder what some of you guys are going to do with yourselves once the trailer comes out and you've seen it :)

Those who are champing at the bit will move onto something else almost immediately. Their thirst for consumption cannot be stopped.

This is how us Bond fans cope with the extensively long productions. Divide it into segments to look forward to. First the announcement, then the set photos, teaser poster, teaser trailer, theatrical trailer, song announcement, release. :D

It's interesting that Campbell directed two movies that are in most Bond fan's top five, and has had little commercial success outside of that. And with Sam Mendes all but worshiped by the media for his Skyfall and (assumed) SPECTRE success, why hasn't Martin Campbell received more attention?

I find this part very interesting.

From the first USA Today article:

Sigman would love to say, but she's sworn to secrecy about pretty much everything involving her character, including her last name.

This is very interesting. Do we have another Strawberry Fields situation or there's something more important (and/or spoilerific) about her character's last name?

That's a HUGE amount of girls. Thunderball-esque amount of girls :-O.
  • I'm not saying she is but Estrella definitely has some kind of 'bad Bond girl' kinda vibe going on.

I'm just glad that Sigman is getting some recognition because someone here was saying thst she was going to be omitted from the Bond girls video blog and yes, it's refreshing to see Craig Bond get into sexual entanglements with 3 stunning beauties. Bond is back and his British end is indeed being kept up.

Not exactly SPECTRE-related, but should just say that Seydoux is exactly how I pictured Vesper in the novels before the film was released. Gorgeous!

I sure hope Spielberg never gets to direct a Bond film! He'd make it a cheese fest and "Americanize" what is supposed to be a brittish franchise. Good old Cubby seemed to agree.

Yeah Spielberg just couldn't "get" Bond in the way that proven masters like Roger Spottiswoode, Marc Forster, and Lee Tamahori could. And yes, he'd be way too cheesy. Can you imagine the kind of nonsense he'd put into a Bond film? Who knows, we'd probably have, I dunno, Blofeld in drag, having Bond hang out with a redneck sheriff, or grabbing a sumo wrestler's buttocks, or running round in a gorilla or clown suit, or have the lead actor dubbed for half the movie, or snowboarding to the Beach Boys. A through and through Brit like Cubby has too much integrity for that sort of thing. Britttttish only!

You get the point, I agree wholeheartedly! The directors you mention made some of the worst films in the series. Please don't let Spielberg do the same! Bond should not be a run of the mill, clichè action film like Spielberg specializes in making.
