Just wanted to share a trailer I did for Raiders.

The focus is on the story and some horror vibes, rather than action. I think it shows and tells a little too much, but it became a necessity of sorts, given the music that was employed, which was considered essential for this trailer, but which couldn't be edited down enough (though it was still shortened quite a bit).

@mattjoes , that is excellent. Hope you do the rest of the movies as well.

Thank you, @Thunderfinger. I hadn't given it any thought; maybe I will!

Indiana Jones and the Chalise of the Urine Sample.

I'll be honest, these jokes have been made for over 10 years now and I'm getting so tired of them. That said, it's weird that we're still 2 years away from this movie (and it might be delayed again for all we know) when we were supposed to be watching it right now.

I've been very hyped for a new Indiana Jones movie up until two years ago, but the fact that they keep delaying it made me completely lose my interest, especially with Spielberg not having made a movie I liked since The Adventures of Tin-Tin and Saving Private Ryan being the last movie of his I enjoyed (and that was over 20 years ago).

I fairly confident that a little, gentle, de-aging will be applied to Ford for the entire film.

I think that happens more than we know. For example, a mate was telling me about a VFX guy he knows complaining he had to spend weeks painting out the saggy chin of a British movie star (courtesy prevents me saying who: but it wasn't Craig!).
I always suspect Cruise gets some sort of digital facelift in his movies too: who gets to their fifties and has no eyebags at all? :D

Absolutely, it’s much more widespread than acknowledged

    Here is a great article...

Regarding the de-aging tech I thought about that the other day whilst watching an interview with Pitt and then Dicaprio, both looked considerably older than they did in the trailers for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (it may just be make up)

I know Mutt isn't coming back (thankfully), but I'm wondering if Marion is, as she and Indy tied the knot. Sallah is a must, though!

Sorry Karen Allen though I hope Marion does not return or if she does just has a cameo. When Marion appeared in KOTCS the film went off a waterfall rapidly

Indiana Jones 5 reenlists the screenwriter of 'Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', David Koepp.

I wonder if this project will eventually be cancelled like that proposed DIE HARD prequel?

Oh, I didn't know that was cancelled? Good news!
Yeah, maybe they got to the conclusion they drove themselves into a corner and now just delay the thing until everybody's had enough of it, and then just cancel it. Good for Indy.

I had just read the plug was pulled on the MCCLANE film in August.
I'll believe INDY 5 is a reality when cameras actually start rolling.

Funnily enough - I took my youngest to a screening of Raiders yesterday. But I didn't really feel it. Dunno if I just wasn't in the right mood or what. Didn't matter though. I'd already seen it on the big screen. I took her sister to an IMAX showing about 5 years ago.
I just wanted my kid to have seen an Indy movie in the cinema. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have bothered.

Koepp said: "I actually am again. I’m working on it again. We’re still trying. And I think we’ve got a good idea this time. We’ll see."

Sounds like they're tossing out the whole script, not merely rewriting. They've probably done that several times.

I hope they don't cancel the thing. Damn script has to please a bunch of people: Spielberg, Ford, Lucas (?), the producers, studio executives...

Seems like it still has a start date of April 2020.
I'm looking forward to seeing Indy on the big screen again. The last film was a bit disappointing, but I still liked it for the most part.
  • Who's the studio behind this film? Is it Disney or Paramount

    I thought it was Disney.
