I've just learned that Pierre Tchernia, one of the pioneers of French television, had died tonight, aged 88. He was a part of my life since my parents bought their first TV, way back in 1965, and his shows ("l'ami Public n° 1" and SVP Disney" about Walt Disney's movies, "Monsieur Cinéma", which made of me the movie lover that I am, and so many others) have become legendary in France. Right now, I'm very, very sad.

A friend of mine died last Friday. He was 67, fellow Krav Maga student and sound engineer by trade. Sweet man, always working, doing what he loved. Farewell old rocker.
