Ricky Jay was one of the highlights of TND. I wish they'd kept the scene where he fights Bond with his cards.

I agree. Sad news. Ricky Jay as Henry Gupta is one of my favourite characters in TND. I've always wanted to get his books on magic but they are rare and very expensive these days.

I’m surprised at all the Henry Gupta praise here and how he was one of the best characters in TND. I hear praises for Dr. Kaufman and Elliot Carver but never for Gupta. So it’s a little surprising to all of a sudden see it here. He was alright but hardly a highlight in the film. Carver and especially Kaufman are the real scene stealers!

One of my best friends for the last 15 years killed himself. He messaged me saying he needed help and me being crazy busy with work (putting in 10-15 hours a day, clocking in at 4:30am to dark) forgot to respond. I have been away from the forums for a long time also regarding the lack of Bond news..

I typically have some friends on Facebook and instagram that I keep up with from the forums. Especially TheBondExperience!

    RIP Davy. 1994-2018

My condolences, mate. I lost a close friend to suicide around 6 months ago. My advice would be to never blame yourself, and not to let grief overpower you. Eventually, it'll get easier with time and all that'll be left is the fond memories you shared with them.

Oof, losing Ricky Jay mixed with the loss of two brilliant, visionary directors makes for a really awful week.

@CASINOROYALE, I'm so sorry to hear that, I can't imagine what you're going through. Always here to talk if you need to.

I'm so sad to hear this. I grew up with the original SpongeBob episodes, when the show was at its apex and he was directly involved. He had a wonderfully creative mind and gave me so much laughter as a child. RIP Mr. Hillenburg.

Couldn't agree more. Those first few seasons had a very nice selection of adult-level jokes sprinkled in, just made it a joy to watch for anyone. It was always entertaining as a kid, RIP Mr. Hillenburg.

I think adults like the show just as much, if not more, than kids.

Who here can’t relate to Squidward?

Watching some episodes now, starting with the pilot “Help Wanted.” It’s an absolutely timeless, classic show. Perfect for anyone of any age.

I’m 33 and I still watch it if I come across it on tv (which is quite a lot).

RIP, George. He was the president when we emigrated to the United States in ‘91. I remember we so wanted him to win the ‘92 election but alas that didn’t happen. :(

All anyone talked about in Ukraine was Reagan and Bush. They opened the immigration doors for us in the late 80s. It’s because of them that we’re here. Forever thankful and forever blessed.

(Wednesday was 8 years since Leslie passed away too so this seems appropriate)

The last of the few recent Republican Presidents that were worthy of the world''s respect, which his son and even more so the present officeholder squandered away. RIP, 41.
