    Bonds weight : 70-75 kilos
weight of bomb : 50 kilos or more ?

    May Day sure was strong
  • Made this recently in honor of the man, who has become my favorite James Bond as I've gotten older. Tried to capture the fun, the wit, and the gadgets/outlandishness of Roger's era, using Duran Duran as my guide.

FYI to those who want to watch The Saint - all seasons are available for streaming on Tubi. It's a free platform with ads every 30 minutes or so. Unfortunately though, only available in US, Canada, Mexico and Australia for now.

I’m surprised that Moore was never approached for Batman 66. I could him poking his head out the window and chatting with Batman & Robin as Simon Templar. Or even teaming up with them and Batgirl. They met up with The Man From Uncle (in a graphic novel).

    James Bombs.

I often complain about spoilers today, though back then they gave a lot away regarding the film in the video lol

I ran into this interview the other day. Some good questions, more compelling than usual, about how Roger approaches his work, that prompt some interesting answers from him.

Who's singing that cover of AVTAK?
    I too want to know!

Who's singing that cover of AVTAK?

The song is from a jazz cover album of Bond themes called ‘Mister Bond’.
I linked the track below and the album is available to stream in full on Spotify. Some amazing covers on it.

Oh, and belated happy birthday, Roger Moore!

People always bring up the bits in TSWLM and FYEO that call back to Tracy, but I always felt this moment was underrated. I love Moore's Bond being momentarily thrown off and then you see the gears start running in his head and his cynicism kicks in to curb stomp whatever uncomfortable feelings he had just felt for the briefest of moments. It pretty much is a precursor to "alright, you've made your point", only he says here "incurable romantic, Mrs. Bond". Moore rarely got to do this kind of stuff in these films, but when he gets these little nuggets I think he shows he's a better actor than people (or even himself) give credit.

Anyway, I just thought it would be fun to do this fan edit:

Inspired by Marc Forster's editing. Though he probably would have shortened it to three frames, but that would deprive us of Diana Rigg.

OMG I just found out Roger's handprints are right under my condo!
I just bought a new apartment in Milan and there's a kind of walk of fame hidden in one of the galleries on the street level under the building. There are handprints of lot of stars like Patrick Swayze, Sylvester Stallone, Kirk Douglas, Sharon Stone and even Sophie Marceau!
This "walk of fame" is right in front of the late headquarters of a TV company that was very popular between the 80s and the 90s.
This is making me love this place even more! Here's a pic:

Moore drives a submarine disguised as an iceberg in the AVTAK pts, but he isn t the first to do that. In a Mickey Mouse story from a few years earlier, Big Pete (aka Black Pete aka Peg Leg Pete) does the same.

Yes, I've been watching them too, and they are in lovely quality, aren't they? I enjoyed the one with Bernard Lee the other day!

    Here's a bit of fun:

    Vernon.jpg

Roger Moore was 43 here, Richard Vernon (also seen in Goldfinger of course!) was 45 :D
