DAD is pretty bad but at least it had Halle berry in a bikini.
Episode 1 Phantom Menace had nothing except Jar Jar Binks. I 'll take Halle and her shytty acting to this CGI minstrel.

Other bad sequels:(should not have wasted the celluloid)
    Jaws 4
    Predator 2
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull

Halle Berry doesn't even look that good though. No where near what we have seen.

Top releases, Jones and Die Another Day included

#1 Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981)
#2 The Temple Of Doom (1984)
    #3 The Last Crusade (1989)
    #4 Die Another Day (2002)
    #5 The Crystal Skull (2008)

(I didn't like Jones IV at all, Die Another Day is pretty dire, but at least it is still Bond, I don't have the same level of affection for Indiana Jones)

I quite liked Predator 2. I agree about Jaws though, it's one of the worst films I've ever seen.

Of Course Donald Grant (Shaw) was in Jaws, or was it Jaws II, one of his last ever film appearances. There is a lot of association with James Bond and sharks

Also, Julian Glover was in The Last Crusade, John Rhys Davies in Raiders, and of course the small matter of Connery in the Last Crusade also. Alison Doody (Flex in AVTAK) also featured, so these Bond guys and girls do get around

I liked the Danny Glover character but the movie was trying too hard and it just did not feel right in that "urban jungle" setting.

I agree to an extent. I always gave Stephen Hopkins credit for daring to be so different from the original, but it didn't quite work until the last half hour, which is pretty amazing in my opinion. I also didn't see the point in setting it in 1997 as opposed to 1990, except to maybe play up the gang-war aspect.

Didn't DUD have Jar Jar Jinx in it? I think DUD is so bad it makes Indy 4 and PM look like they belong alongside Citizen Kane in the pantheon of greats.

Actually I loved Jar Jar Binks when I was younger ! then again the only Star wars films I've seen are the 3 prequels..... I have to watch the original trilogy soon to see if they are better.

@DaltonCraig007 You must watch them as soon as possible. The Prequels aren't fit to call themselves Star Wars movies in comparison.

Anyways, DAD is much better than Indy 4. I get more out of it than I get from TPM too. So DAD wins.

To be honest these 3 particular movies rank as weak within their respective franchises BUT say what u will about phantom menace, this movie had some of the best action scenes in cinema history and I'm referring to obi wan and qui gon vs darth maul to the tune of John Williams' brilliant duel of the fates theme.

Just kidding of course DC007. Seriously now, I actually envy you in a way: you have many great film hours ahead of you. Enjoy my friend.

You can skip the third one. You won't miss anything.

I haven't seen any of the Godfather movies for years, I remember too that the third one wasn't up to much but the others were quite a watch. Scorsese tried his hand at a better attempt (on the genre) with Casino and GoodFellas variations but simply couldn't compete with Francis Ford Coppola's original masterpieces

Wasn't this about Indiana Jones and Died another Day though ? :-/

I still like DAD wel enough, yes it has its awefull moments, but what 007 movies has none?- Its sequels CR & QoS aren't very perfect either. With me complaining that DC has had 3/4 out of 2 of a decent film so far and with that score they are wasting talent.

The Phantom Menace, is in my view easily the best of the three prequels. The 2nd an 3rd turned Darth Vader into a snivelling little sh#t, which is unforgivable. The first episode is almost a story on its own with some frigging brilliant actionscenes brilliantly edited. Yes Jar Jar Binks is annoyin but so is C3PO in SW 4.

Indian Jones 4, with Harrison as Indy they did change periods from WWII to the '50's when the scifi movies were kinda cheesy. They tried to tap into the paranoia of that time with the nuclear weapon and the Russians which was very nicely done imho. In fact I quite enjoy this movie and it does deliver a hoot. Once again some people seem to complain about the ridiculous and Transformer boy. Overal it was a nice actioner with an ending that said that hat still belonged to Jones Sr.

I debate that. I felt that The Godfather Part III, while it had its shortcomings, was an excellent end to the Michael Corleone saga. The film had many moments that rivaled the first two films in their sheer emotion and power.

The stair scene at the end is fenomenal. Pacino yelling in painful silence is a must.

    Thought this thread was familiar!
  • Attack of the Clones is a far worse film than either of the listed or Avatar for that matter
  • Stick Rocky V in the title. That was a disgrace to the series. Shame because the first one is actually my favourite film.

Oh, and I still think Indy wins. Pointless film but I can enjoy it. Although I haven't seen Star Wars so I can't fairly judge.

I've never watched the prequels all the way through but what I've seen of them is shockingly bad. Lucas is a lunatic.
  • I haven't seen any of them. The series just doesn't intrest me. I do like the Family Guy versions though.
  • Phantom menace is so bad it is almost entertaining for its sheer psychotic nature. Joking aside recently watched Phantom Menace on bluray, the pod race did look pretty good to be honest.

A wise decision. The first two have their moments but frankly I mainly find them dull.
