    It's probably just the lighting.

Actually it looks like he's got hair fibres on top. Artificial hair you can sprinkle on your baldy patches to make it look like you got hair. Totally looks like that. I think it's dark brown shade!

It's just the lighting and the contrast of the picture.

Take a look here and you'll see it's like before.

A new occularist is in your future, I see. :D
It's like sandy blond, not even quite a brown.
  • Is it just me or in that photo don't Christoph and Daniel look very similar. Waltz could easily pass as Craig's older brother.

    Interesting thread.
Here's my take on the best and worst of the hairstyles -

    The Best
    1. Lazenby had the best hairstyle in OHMSS. Cool sideburns, no wig. This to me is the definitive Bond hair.

    2. Connery's best - TB. Yes, its a toupee, but it looks very cool and Bondian in this film.

    3. Brosnan - TND. Very cool hair in this film. GE is slightly too long, but here its the right length.

    4. Moore - TMWTGG. Moore's best look in this film.

    5. Dalton - LTK, when not in the tuxedo, mainly because of the cool sideburns - and not the horrible slicked-back Dracula style he sports when wearing his tux.

    6. Craig - QoS. Although he may be up there with Connery as my favourite Bond, unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of his short hairstyle, and in this film its his best look, mainly because it is slightly longer.

    The worst
    1. Moore - AVTAK. Just horrible. An old granddad with a dyed colour, slicked back, looking like a dirty old man. About as far removed from Bond as you can get,

    2. Craig - SF. Utterly offensive. Ultra short skinhead, makes him look ill throughout. I really hate his look in this film.

    3. Connery - DAF. Greying, with thick sideburns that don't suit, with a puffy face and a growing pot-belly. His worst look for Bond.

    Best hairstyle for each actor:

Connery: GE - Even though I know its a wig (I am pretending it's real)
    Moore: LALD
    Dalton: TLD
Brosnan: GE - He has the best head of hair out of the Bonds by far!
    Craig: CR

I am not adding my opinions because JSW has actually nailed them exactly. I mean what are the chances of that?

However whilst I don't hate Craig's look in SF I was very disappointed with it.

Craig has to have short hair (CR was the best) as his hair is fine and blonde. Brozzer can get away with the GE longer locks as his hair is black and thick. It is a question of being neat and sophisticated, but going with what suits the actor.

    Almost sure:

    SC - TB
    RM - LALD
TD - LTK (Excluding the casino part)
    PB - TND
    DC - QOS

So this fascinating topic is back is it... :-w

Can't say that Bond's hair has caused me too many sleepless nights. Having said that, I did think that Brosnan had the best rug of all. I mean really, Pierce's hair could have had it's own tv-show, it was that slick.

For me, Pierce's long hair was his power. Like Sampson.....

When he cut it shorter in TND, the glow fell off for me. It never really came back.

That probably explains in DAD how he was able to selfinduce a cardiac arrest and bring himself to at a moments notice on command. All that powerful hair!

He did actually! He advertized for L'oreal 'men expert' skincare products... google it. Quite hilarious :>

Here it is.....I have to admit, he looks good. At least we don't have a shot of him applying the darn thing to his face.

I may have to try this. I've been noticing a few more lines here and there lately. After all, I am worth it.

Never mind with the lotions - eat lots of Omega-3 rich fish, avocados, nuts and plenty of fresh fruit & veg and you will do far more for your skin than anything you could smear on it.

But I think I'm drifting off topic...

@talos7 , do you think they will dye his hair some more before the filming starts? There was only a tiny glimpse of grey in SP.

If you look at the press conference, and the appearance varies with camera angle and lighting, he definitely has color in his hair, with the top being noticeably deeper. It appears that it's being applied in a way to allow some of the grey to remain.

The thing is with hair color is that from the time of application , following the first washing and with each successive one, the color can fade and more of the grey (white hairs) can become more visible. while steps can be taken to create a continuity, variations can be seen throughout a production, sometimes within a scene if that scene is shot over a period of time.

The shot above from yesterday's event is a bit, unintentionally, deceiving, much of what appears to be grey is the sun reflecting off of a styling product in his hair.

Thank you for the clarification. I don't know that much about hair colouring.

I did notice his hair was dyed, and as you said, it seems they left more grey hairs than before, so I was wondering will it stay that way. If it does, the film will be strongly focused on Bond's age. We'll see how he looks once the set photos emerge.

We never had Bond with this much grey hair. Just for comparison, here's how he looked in 2006.
