    I am going to vote for GoldenEye because Pierce Brosnan wasn't fat and bald yet in GE

    Gotta go with Goldeneye, but if it were based on soundtrack alone DAF blows GE to kingdom come.

    being quick, Goldeneye wins, and not only that, but this is a bit of an unfair contest

    Brosnans second best against what could be Connery's very worst, either that or Goldfinger, but at least he was plausible as Bond in 1964

    Sorry to hear Moonraker got such a bashing in the last round, I know what I'd rather watch

    I'm choosing, what a surprise, GoldenEye. DAF only has a better Bond, but anything else...
    Blofeld is the worst Blofeld, The score's great, but not Barry's best work, the henchmen are dumb, flat and boring,...
    GE instead has a great score, it's Pierce Brosnan's best, the villain and henchwoman are fantastic, we haven't got Leiter, but we've got Wade...

    I know this is going to be mega controversial but this is one of the few times I would actually favour another score over a John Barry track. Other than the song I can't really remember Barry's score for DAF that well - never thought I'd say that about the legend that is Mr B.

    Tut tut... @thelivingroyale, Connery wasn't bald as he was wearing a hair piece just like he did in all his Bond films. Also, you forgot to mention the acting bit where Connery trumps Brosnan. ;)

    I forgot he wore a hair piece in the other films too. But he was older, fatter, and nowhere near his former self. He was much better when he came back in NSNA.

    Brosnan beats Connery acting wise with this round I reckon. Connery in DAF barely had to act at all (but that's the scripts fault for not being a proper OHMSS follow up), and he was having fun but he was nothing like the old Connery.

    Brosnans grave yard scene in GE beats anything Connery does in DAF acting wise. Add that on to the fact that Brosnan was younger, fitter, funnier and more excited, and GE has the better Bond I think.

    Connery was good in Daf but I still think I prefer GE Brosnan - I just like his facial expressions.

    You need to listen to the entire DAF soundtrack then. Like I said, no contest.

    I think what marks a good actor from a bad actor is that you can't see them acting. Basically it should all look effortless, which Connery makes it seem. For me, Brosnan's facial expressions in GE feel that much more forced and posed compaired to Connery's natural demeanor, and dare I say it, I can see Brosnan acting!!

    And I think the score for DAF is the 2nd best to OHMSS.

    The score to DAF is better than GF? Better than MR? Better than FRWL? Better than even AVTAK? Hmm...no. I struggle to remember a full track from DAF while I can remember the others clearly. I'm not saying its bad, just not as classic as the others - to me.

    Give me an example of a forced facial expression from GE! I never felt his facial expressions looked too forced there. There are occasions in TWINE where I would agree with you though (his grimacing during the encounter with Electra after the mine shootout comes to mind).

    I always felt that the Bond you could often see acting was old Dalton - particularly in LTK. The way he says "TAKE ME TO HIM" to Lupe in the casino for instance was very over-the-top and theatrical.

    Hmm perhaps not but it is an observation I made. His performances are often very visual.

    That's not to say Brosnan didn't have his faults - he did. But I'm not sure whether his expressions are AS visual.

    Watched DAF just yesterday and it was really better than I remembered. It is by far Connery's worst and too lazy, uneven and goofy. But it has a tremendous score, interesting locations and really improves upon the boring book.

    On the other hand GE is Brosnan's best. The best on the 90s and a true and succeeding attempt to make Bond relevant again.

    So GoldenEye.
