    My vote goes to Octopussy! An all around better film for sure, though both films have their faults.

    Both terrific(they're my top 2 Roger Moore Bonds) but I have to vote for MR. It's Sir Rog's TB.

    I cast my vote for Octopussy! Overall, it beats Moonraker in action, plot, pacing, main girl, and villains. MR has the better soundtrack and locations for sure, but just doesn't live up to OP, especially when you consider how much camp and cheese made its way into the movie. Granted, OP has its fair share too, but handles it better than MR and knows when to put it aside and play it seriously.

    I saw Octopussy very recently. It was my last Bond watch. It's a decent outing, but Moonraker wins for me. Moore plays the fool in both releases, maybe in equal measure, but I simply enjoy Moonraker more, it is a classic watch. Octopussy doesn't quite have that

    Has to be Octopussy, with a few snips which would hardly effect the running time it could be a great Bond, MoneyRaker on the other hand is just un-saveable, too much reliance on humour and silly set pieces.

    Moonraker is IMO the worst film in the franchise, and Octopussy is the 4th, because although it's not the best Bond film, it's the most entertaining for me. So Octopussy it is.

    Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... How does Moonraker end up worse than DAD? At least MR had Jaws and Hugo Drax, DAD had... nothing. A neat sword fight, that's about it.

    MR had a clown trying to be Jaws, a stupid Hugo Drax, a great PTS, IMO Binder's worst TS, stupid Star Wars based image, it has laser guns which make a squeaky hateful noise and a great soundtrack must admit. DAD has a horrible bond girl, bad villain, horrible CGI and so on, but has a great PTS, a neat sword fight and the Title sequence is quite good, not the music, but the sequence...

    They're both fighting for last but MR wins the place.

    Octopussy, both have their faults but Sir Rog is better in OP and i like the cold war feel of Octopussy.

    I agree with almost everything you said about MR except that even the PTS is excessively unrealistic and one more goofy thing among too many in that film. Bond movies are supposed to be within the realm of possibility and that PTS like most other things isn't. A Matt Helm meets Austin Powers cheesefest is how I see it. Even that TB ripoff NSNA is more Bondian than MR. The grosses these two got are amazing as vacuous as they are.

    I wouldn't call Drax stupid. Just a cure for insomnia. BORRRRRRRRRING!

    Not sure though that it's worse than DAD. But it might be. Either way, definitely the 2 worst of the series.

    I love both but I'm going with Moonraker.
    OP just isn't as fun as MR.
