I'm with @BritishChap007 on this. Walking towards the gunbarrel is stupid. I understand what you're suggesting, @SirHenryLeeChaChing, I just don't like it.

And I agree with @gt007 agreeing with me. I get it. It's just not a solid idea.

did I just see Silva shooting up a court room???
Yes. I have a strong feeling Silva is completely mental, a true psychotic. And indeed our own 'Heath Ledger ownssss The Joker' moment.
  • is this the real sound for the gun barrel, and the music from Thomas

Hmm Mission:Aborted starting from 0:55-1:00 sounds almost similar to that Casino Royale soundtrack when Bond was fighting on top of a crane.

Check out this video (Gunbarrel filming from 0:57) a short sharp peek at the filiming of it at least. Where it gets placed, well, who knows? Good news...Daniel is walking slower! :-)

He has too! For the QOS-gunbarrel he seemed on LSD or cocaine. Bond usually never walks that fast in the gunbarrel sequence.

  • I'm almost going to cry tears of joy when the gunbarrel opens the movie :)

The gunbarrel in Adele's video is to be found at Adele.tv and on the Skyfall video.

Apologies for the quality - here it is...

  • Thanks @RC7, I hadn't seen the advert and I didn't want to have to watch the spoiler video.

Hmmm, it looks ok. At least it's traditional. Only problem I think is it's a bit too quick, I hope it's slower in the film.

Yeah, seems a tad slower than QoS though.
  • Something about that pose is sort of....awkward. But hey, it's the gunbarrel and I know many people will be glad to see it back, likely at the beginning.
  • Yeah the pose seems a bit strange too, and I do think it's too quick.

Still, it is better than the QOS one.
  • I think the speed of the walk is fine, but the "turn and shoot" is really quick and snappy. My only semi-gripe is the pose.

I actualy dont see this been the gun barrel for the film. Maby its jsut for the advert. I think they will do a better version in the film. maby. Also, i like the turn he does. It might seem a bit too quick, but its pritty cool.

Exept my expectations for the return of the gun barrel is even more certain now.

I'm not a fan of it really and I hope it's better for the film.

I'm thinking maybe they sped it up for the advert?

And with the pose, they normally film more than one gunbarrel with different poses (there's a few lost Dalton ones on youtube), so maybe they'll end up using a different one. This is kind of wishful thinking from me but still, could happen.

Ever saw Sean Connery's first :-P? It still is a weird one:
    <youtube>

I still wonder if Sean did got too many wodka martini's...the wrong ones....stirred not shaken :-P.
  • Looks fine. I like the pose in the new blog better though.
  • I think the gun barrel will be better in the film. We will just have to wait and see. Not long now guys. Under 3 weeks to goo.!!!!

It's very possible the barrel may differ, as for Craig I'm not sure. It wouldn't make much sense having two versions of his walk, it makes sense they'd be consistent.

It's the same as the blog.

I think they will use the same one from the blog, which is also this advert ... correct? If so, i think it will look far better in the film. This is just an advert, so it will be slightly different. I think it should be fine in the film. Im just excited that it looks to be back. Just what i have been hoping and worrying about for nearly four years.

Yeah, the gun barrel just seems off in the advert. It doubt it will be like that in the film.

I think Craig is channeling Dalton tbh. Nice.

    That's actually my favorite one.

Thanks! Great to see it at last in the flesh. This should make for a great opening to Craig's films.
