Bond was in Spain in FYEO.

Greece doubled for Spain in FYEO. Now that I think about it, Spain has an odd place in the Bond films. It very rarely plays itself. Bilbao is the exception.

Yes, that is rather ironic actually.

A climax at the Mansell Forts could look great:

It's also a location neglected by Bond, maybe even throw in NZ as well.

What do you fellow 007 nerds think would be a good location for Bond to go to ,in this, suddenly ,very important film, due to SP ?

    Discuss....

    What about Luxemburg.

I like a European setting but no focus on London... I could also imagine the middle East. Why not use Syria or Iraq as locations or Israel?

Israel is a great location. Can't say the same for the former two.

Eastern Europe would be interesting (Poland?), as well as the Baltic states, for the old world feel. I'd like to see Argentina but I realize that's a harder sell to the UK.

Of course it won't be filmed there. You can use Malta, Cyprus or Turkey...

Actually, I've had it a bit with European locations. I mean, hey, the USA still exist boys and girls?? Does this wonderful country not deserve a prime location anymore in a Bond film? And what about new rising powers Iran and/or Arab Emirates?

--> ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (YAS MARINA FORMULA ONE CIRCUIT)?
--> LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (ROYAL COURTS OF JUSTICE & WHITEHALL)?
    --> SPECTRE-ISLAND, THE SEYCHELLES?
--> LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (NOTTING HILL)
--> THE HAGUE, THE NETHERLANDS (WORLD FORUM CONGRES CENTRE)?
--> TEHRAN, IRAN (ISLAMIC CONSULTATIVE ASSEMBLY)?
--> AUSTIN, TEXAS, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS)?
--> HOUSTON, TEXAS, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (NRG PARK STREET CIRCUIT)?
--> QOM, IRAN (FORDO URANIUM ENRICHMENT FACILITY)?

If Europe I would also like to see Russia or the Baltics or Belorussia. These are not explored in the Bond franchise adequaty. These are interesting Locations between the East and the West. I don't care so very much about beautifull buildings in Bond Films anymore.

I'd like to see a Bond movie get away with three locations. 2 minor, one major.
That makes sense...use one minor one in the PTS ,and the other 2 for the film.

And make Bond interact with some natives and show us something from the location. In Spectre the multiple locations were not used probably at all. They could have simply exchanged the locations and it would not have mattered.

I'm just tired of....Europe. Why can't the USA not have a leading role again in a James Bond film?? Hasn't been done since "Licence To Kill" (if you ignore that small cameo of a fake Miami Airport in "Casino Royale").

Russia has already been featured in "GoldenEye" heavily. And to me it felt like a very depressing, dreary place. A short cameo of a fake Kazan in "Quantum Of Solace". And China we've seen recently in "Skyfall".

So bring on the US of A!!! Where the F**K are those proud Americans ;-)!!

In short: The great US of A has been heavily underappreciated in the entire James Bond franchise. It's time to show audiences that the USA has truly remarkable locations to show us....and Bond fans. I'm stunned that so far only "Live And Let Die", "Licence To Kill", "Goldfinger", "A View To A Kill" and "Diamonds Are Forever" have become the advertorial 'postcards' for America's finest locations. But that's a total of only FIVE Bond films!

Do we really need to visit Italy, Turkey and Austria....again? And even if we do visit Abu Dhabi....we know "Mission: Impossible" and "Furious 7" already preceded the Bond films with these locations. Let's do an all-American Bond films. It's about time!

Yes, as I piped up earlier, I am all for more 007 adventures in the USA.
Canada too. I don't think movie Bond has ever come to Canada
Fleming Bond visited extensively in both FYEO and TSWLM

@jake24, funny you mention Vancouver, because it's featured A LOT in films, yet it always seems to double for other locations.

@Gustav_Graves, some beautiful locales you've listed there. The only one I've seen in a film recently that I wouldn't want featuring in the world of Bond is the Guggenheim - 'The International' already utilized it as the setting for a pivotal shootout sequence, so I don't want it looking like Bond is trying to steal from that. I want unique/new locations utilized for inventive stunts/action sequences, that's all I ask.

It offers some terrific scenery for films. It certainly doesn't surprise me that it is frequently used to double other locations, as the modern architecture coupled with the mountainous backdrop can work great for an array of Asian cityscapes. On top of that, it's also much cheaper. Admittedly, I've never been despite being from the same country.

Indeed - understandable why they do it, but it would be very refreshing to have a film not only film there, but have the story feature in Vancouver.

Similarly, Toronto is featured in many films but, like you said, frequently doubles for other locales. Certain sections look like NYC, so many production companies come here due to lower fees. In fact, we also house our very own Pinewood Studios.

Funnily enough, it has also been used as a stand-in for Gotham in Suicide Squad, though much of that was done in post.

And nordic - Norway or Sweden or Finland, fine with me. :)

With a dogsled chase! I am somewhat obsessed by huskies, and I'm still sad the ones in GE didn't get more screen time.

JAPAN would be awesome. But as a location shoot, I feel far too expensive for the main location. But that would be my choice, yes.

I still want Nordic locale. I think Japan (and China too) would be out of the question for the budget. A dogsled chase would be GREAT. :) As long as no pups hurt, of course. ;)
