A young Dance for 006, definately. And Berkoff for Pryce. Allthough Walken (again) would be excellent as well. Still, Berkoff has more of a media-shark thing going I think.

Great suggestions so far. I'll go with Bruce Glover.

So far we have three for Steven Berkoff, three for Christopher Walken and one each for Jesper Christensen, Charles Dance, Charles Gray, Bruce Glover, Michael Lonsdale and Donald Pleasence as Carver. Interesting choices.
  • I believe all of the Dances were for Trevelyan.

    Steven Berkoff IS Elliot Carver.

For THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH you may pick your own Renard or Elektra King, or both.

I've seen Caroline Munro play "innocent" in Captain Kronos and devilish in TSWLM. I'll pick her, though I was really astonished by Sophie's performance, a highlight of the film.

Renard, hmmm let's think. I could see Javier Bardem do that.

    Rosamund Pike for Electra.

I think that Luciana Paluzzi is the only alternative choice for Elektra.

    Robert Shaw for Renard.

    Those are great choices.

For Renard, even the janitor on set would be better than Carlyle. If I had to pick someone, it would be Bardem.

For Elektra, it would be Eva Green.

My pick for Renard: Draco s whistling janitor.

I thought of Barbara, but Fiona won out.
Yes, she trumps all, but I try to pick something different than what everyone else has already suggested. If she had been Elektra, Bond might have been manipulated to the dark side. Perhaps only Connery was man enough to handle her!
  • Maud Adams with her sultry, mysterious voice, captivating eyes, and at times stern demeanor would have made a quite alluring and persuasive Elektra. (I count her as she portrayed a criminal and a red herring villainess.)

And I think Mads Mikkelson in all his creepiness—that voice, that grin, that evil sparkle in his eyes—would have delivered a quite sinister and devious Renard.

Nice suggestion, but the idea is to pick already existing Bond villains.

Nice suggestion, but the idea is to pick already existing Bond villains.

Willem Dafoe (Everything or Nothing) — vocal performance
Monica Bellucci (Spectre) — wife of a SPECTRE agent, accomplice to villainy, sorta

    I'm guessing.

Anyone else wants to chime in on Renard/Elektra before we move on?

Well Luciana Paluzzi for Elektra, for sure, but I would definately be on her side then! ;-) The thing is, with such a sultry villainess it would be hard to find a proper Renard. But why not let her team up wit Adolfo Celi again and see what happends? I'll go for that: TWINE 1965! ;-)

That is also a cracking suggestion. And now...

Which Bond villain actor would you rather see as Gustav Graves in DIE ANOTHER DAY?

It can only be Bardem. Nobody else can ham it up or snarl like Stephens.

Haha, yes. I can just see it.
  • Yaphett Kotto—youthful, suave, charismatic, playful, cocky, menacing and down-to-business when he needs to be.

This! It makes the line : 'You see, when your intervention forced me to present the world with a new face, I chose to model the disgusting Gustav Graves on you. I paid attention to details - that unjustifiable swagger, the crass quips, the self-defence mechanism concealing such inadequacy' far more fun.
