I wonder how much EON are actively working on Bond 26 right now, or if not what they are waiting on. Is it still the difficulties between EON and Amazon being worked out? Internal shake ups happening inside EON? Waiting for the industry to settle after a chaotic few years? I wonder if we'll ever get the skinny.

That being said, even with Jettisoning Boyle, they still set the release date as late 2019 early 2020 before the pandemic hit, meaning even with a major blow to production, they still expected to release B25 roughly four years after SP. Unless there's something huge that we just haven't been made aware of yet, it seems likely they are further along than we're being told.

This one seems a little more like something you'd ask a studio about.

At least Doug Belgrad isn’t ATJ…

Link was dead by the time I clicked it. Was it something Bond related?

Deleted, interesting. The other day I read an article about studios cracking down on leaks, at times with threats of legal action.

Possibly his license to post a juicy Bond rumor has been, revoked.

Yes, I didn't get to see it either. So mysterious, haha.

I’d be surprised if it actually was Bond related. I’m not seeing any trending news on Google so whatever it was I doubt it had anything to do w/ EON.

@mtm can correct me, but I think the link was about ex-Sony-Columbia chief becoming VP of Netflix?

I don’t think this scoop this guy was teasing was Bond related in any way.

Clearly, we're all so hungry for B26 news that even the slightest hint and innuendo gets the forum rolling. That being said, I do believe we're in a "calm before the storm" moment.

One day, a rumor will turn out to be legitimate news.
Who knows when that will happen, days, weeks, months…. Years?

All I know is that I’m not getting any younger. Lol.

Yeah you're right, he reposted it soon after: I guess he made a spelling mistake or something on the first tweet.

I think Sneider posts his big scoops in his newsletter first and only tweets about them afterwards. If he writes about anything on twitter first, it's not one of his big scoops. And he has not sent out any newsletter yet today.

His newsletter came out with the same info as his tweets.

    Nothing Bond related.

To me, it doesn't feel like the last film came out that long ago. I guess I'm lucky.

The long waits between films aren't as bad when your interests extend to pretty much all corners of the franchise. All mediums.

Yep, that’s how I roll with other franchises besides Bond. Batman & Superman in particular.

Awesome, there's always something to do isn't there? Something new to discover. You'd need to be Superman to get through all the comics alone, I think. I was a Batman fan a few years before discovering Bond, but I didn't keep up with all the lore, just watched the films and TV show. I did have a few collectables from 1989/90.

I will have another read of OHisMSS when the revised edition comes out, which will be nice Bondy fun. I hope they do another soon too - that would be enough to keep me tided over with 007 stuff.

What's his response? Twitter never works well for me, I guess because it doesn't like that I've never made an account.

Yeah, can't see his response either, and damned if I'm going to get Twitter/X.

He basically said up yours to someone asking about Bond news.

Isn’t the person asking, a member of this forum?

And Sneider’s reply was as classy as the man himself? 😂…

He didn’t have Bond news. No need to chase him down when that was the assumption of a few ppl. But no need to reply that way either.

Yes, there is a lot for all three of those franchises, in more ways than one. And I feel blessed, as we are lucky to be fans of those. Those characters were here before us, and they'll be here after us. And honestly, I don't feel forced to enjoy them. They give me great joy, and I'll always be happy to share that with anyone.

Yeah, I'm busy enough with Bond music, so I barely think about the next film. And it's not like I'm a member of a forum where we are encouraged to obsessively discuss the subject of James Bond. That would be a big waste of time, right?

    Whoops.

    Colonel Venus’ First Theorem:

The closer we get to the announcement of Chris Nolan’s next movie (which will likely happen this autumn) without any Bond news, the more likely it will get that Chris Nolan’s next movie and Bond 26 are one and the same.

I’m almost scared to ask, but how do you come to that conclusion @Colonel_Venus ?
