As for Anna Karina herself, I imagine she could have been a good fit for several of the 60's/70's Bond girl roles!

Oh, definitely! I sometimes can't help but think it's a bit of a shame they didn't make a "proper" CR back in the 60's. Connery would no doubt have nailed the dramatic elements of that story.
It certainly would be interesting to know how they would've adapted that novel in the 60s with Connery - even if problematic haha :D
I never thought of linking her to Seydoux, but I understand what you see in common. I never thought too much about her as a Bond Girl, still, she could have nailed the part of Solitaire.
